The state has shown concern for children deprived of this year's mass festive festivities. The President promised 5,000 rubles to all children under 7 for the New Year. The government considers it necessary to provide support to families with small children.

New support measure

The President of the country promised to allocate five thousand rubles to each child up to 8 years old inclusive. This statement ended the annual press conference of the head of state on December 17.

The President said that he would like to say warm words, to congratulate everyone on the upcoming holidays. He continued the thought that due to the difficult epidemiological situation, children will be deprived of the opportunity to have fun at the Christmas trees. Due to the pandemic, matinees in gardens, shows in theaters, holidays in schools will be canceled.

Families with children under 7 years old will receive a small but significant gift. A little later, the Presidential Decree was adjusted - the age was designated up to 8 years. The money will be received by parents, guardians and adoptive parents for each child.

The country is home to approximately 13.7 million children under the age of 8. It will take 70 billion rubles for "presidential gifts" for the New Year. The Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration joined in the implementation of the Decree.

How to get a payment of 5000 children for the New Year

The money can be received by filling out an application on the website of the State Services to the Pension Fund. The decree covers all children born on December 18 and later inclusive. The application can be made until April 2021.

This year, families with children under 3 years old have already received benefits from the state. If the documents have already been drawn up, and the money has come on the application, now they will go the same way. In addition, you do not need to issue anything - the money will come automatically.

Parents who did not receive child support this year must apply for a new payment. Families with children born after July 1, 2020 must also apply to the Pension Fund.

Lump sum payments for the New Year in the amount of 5,000 rubles for children under 8 years old will not be counted as part of family income. Accordingly, they will not be taxed.

There are several reasons for the choice of the age of the children who will receive the gift.

First, parents with young children are limited in employment. Caring for the family has to be combined with work, which is not always fully possible. You have to choose between family values and earnings.

Children who do not receive the attention they deserve are more likely to become problematic. Younger students need extra attention.

Secondly, funding for this group has already been carried out and was successful. A monthly payment for children from three to seven years old has already been introduced in the country. This age group has been taken into account, the documents have passed all the necessary authorities.
