The trip to the "New Wave" competition in Jurmala this year cost the famous artist Valery Leontiev a lot. As reported on the eve of the media, the singer's Moscow apartment was shamelessly robbed. However, the celebrity is trying to treat what happened philosophically.

As it became known, from the singer's apartment in Kolokolnikov Lane, according to preliminary data, the thieves took out two safes in which money and valuables were kept.

The art director of the performer announced the robbery to the police. Valery Yakovlevich himself was at this time in Jurmala. Law enforcement officers are currently investigating. “The police officers who arrived at the scene found that during the period from 27 to 30 July, an unknown person, having broken open the emergency exit door, entered Leontyev's apartment, stealing the latter's personal belongings,” a law enforcement source told RIA Novosti.

“I don’t want this story, as usual, to become overgrown with speculation and rumors,” Leontyev himself said on the eve of Moskovsky Komsomolets. - Five million rubles were stolen from me. I kept them at home, because this money was about to be needed, I planned to spend it on updating the scenery and costumes for the autumn solo concerts in the Kremlin. I was also robbed of an expensive diamond watch and some expensive jewelry that I wear on stage. Many of them were also with diamonds."

Now Valery Yakovlevich is touring the Black Sea coast. So the star simply does not have time to worry.

“Of course, this is unpleasant, and this money, of course, was not superfluous,” says the celebrity. - I don’t use sponsorship in my work, I earn all the money honestly. But still, it's just a monetary loss. Could be worse. In the end, I could be at home and now, perhaps, I would no longer live on this earth. Today they can kill even for five hundred rubles, and I know very well about it."
