The words, thoughts and emotional experiences of Friske, who died in 2015, were published in a book written by him by a friend of the star Gennady Kurkin. The man noted that Jeanne wanted her words after her death to be conveyed to the majority and later read by her son.

Zhanna told Kurkin during her lifetime that the first symptoms of a serious illness began to appear immediately after childbirth. She was very tired. The singer had to literally through force perform the usual actions: get up, lie down, walk.

According to Friske, with each exhalation, life seemed to leave her body. Until now, she had not experienced anything like it. This condition scared the star and together with Dmitry they went to the doctors. The worst fears have come true. She was given a fatal diagnosis.

The experts immediately explained that no one would help her in Russia. Jeanne decided on experimental treatment, which was carried out by oncologists in New York. Already in America, Friske realized: manipulations can only bring temporary relief. We are not talking about recovery.

Oncologists explained to the celebrities that in her case, hormonal changes caused by pregnancy were the trigger. Then for the first time she confessed honestly to herself and her family: if she knew that pregnancy would provoke such a disease, she would never give birth.

Judging by the quotes given by the writer, Jeanne noted: she would exchange motherhood for the opportunity to sit by the ocean and drink wine straight from the bottle, looking at the sun setting into the sunset.

In the same book, Gennady explained why Friske did not want to talk about her illness. The singer was convinced - to tell everyone about him means to accept the irreversibility of what is happening. It was scary. Until the last moment she hoped for a miracle and sincerely believed that one day she would wake up and, by chance, would be completely healthy.

With the approach of death, the artist experienced double emotions. Together with love, she experienced genuine envy of loved ones. “Those who have not died will not understand…. it is the envy of the one who leaves for the one who remains”.
