Childhood and youth

The girl was born in the city of Turinsk, Sverdlovsk region, in the acting family of Boris Ivanovich and Galina Stanislavovna. Very soon, the parents, together with their little daughter, moved to permanent residence in sunny Uzbekistan. The fact is that the too harsh climate did not suit Margarita: the baby often caught cold and was seriously ill.

The girl studied well at school and graduated with a gold medal. She was fond of physical education, and the teachers predicted a sports career for the child. Unexpectedly for everyone, she entered the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Tashkent University, but studied there for only 2 years. Realizing that she was mistaken with the choice of profession, Margarita left her studies and moved to Moscow to enter the A. Yu. Zavadsky at the Mossovet Theater-Studio.

This time Margarita finished her studies and became an actress of the Mossovet Theater-Studio. Terekhova acted not only as an actress who played the role of Irina Nikolaevna Arkadyeva, but also as a director. By the way, Margarita's children - daughter Anna and son Sasha - also starred in The Seagull.

Later, the daughter of the actress said that this work insanely exhausted Margarita, and she no longer had the strength to shoot. In 2014, Terekhova's voice appeared in the film "A Trip to Mother" (voice-over). Since then, the actress has not starred in any film and does not even leave the house.

Personal life and the secret of the birth of a son

Margarita Terekhova was married three times.

The first husband of the actress was fellow student Vyacheslav Butenko, her student love. For several years, the young man stubbornly sought the location of the beauty, but she did not pay attention to him. And yet Vyacheslav managed to win the girl's love. The couple got married in the year they graduated from the studio school (1964). Youthful feelings were not long, the passion quickly ended, and the actress met a new lover. The couple divorced in 1967. There were no children in the family.

Margarita met her second husband on the set of the film "Running on the Waves" in Bulgaria. They are the actor Savva Khashimov, who at that time was married. For the sake of a new lover, he divorced his wife, and immediately offered his hand and heart to the young actress, especially since she was already expecting a child from her lover. The actor had to leave his native country for Moscow. The newly-made family settled in a theater hostel, where a few months later their first-born daughter Anya was born.

The second marriage also turned out to be short-lived. Savva did not want to stay in the capital, he kept rushing back to his hometown of Sofia, but Margarita did not agree to move. As a result, the couple divorced after 2 years of relationship, in 1969. Both were going through the breakup very hard. The ex-spouses remained good friends and always spoke warmly about each other.

The third husband of Terekhova was the director Georgy Gavrilov, who was 16 years younger than the chosen one. A strong passion arose between the lovers, and they called their romance something "abnormal and obscene." This marriage was the most durable. It lasted for 15 years, until 1995.

The actress married George in 1980, being in a position, and a few months later gave birth to her second child, the son of Alexander. Many did not believe that Gavrilov was the father. The biological dad was called either the popular singer Igor Talkov, with whom Terekhova traveled half the country in those years, or the Tajik businessman Sayfiddin Turaev, whom she met in Tajikistan during those same tours.

Margarita herself did not share the secret of the birth of her son, even with relatives. Many years later, she told Alexander about her real father. It really turned out to be Sayfiddin Turaev. At that time, the man was married, and marriage with a Russian beauty, like moving to Russia, was impossible. Sayfiddin himself never admitted his involvement in Terekhova's child.

The actress was glad of this. She interfered with the communication between the boy and the real father, kept the secret of his birth only because she was afraid that Turaev might take his son for herself. According to the eastern tradition, the boy was obliged to be brought up in his father's house. Naturally, Margarita could not allow this.

Alzheimer's disease and confinement at home

The first signs of the disease began to appear in Terekhova for a long time. It is for this reason that she ended her theatrical and acting career and settled at home. The last time the audience saw Margarita was in 2012 on stage at the Moscow Premiere festival: the actress received a diploma and a prize for her contribution to the development of Russian cinema.

Now Margarita does not leave the house, and nurses take care of her. The artist has given up badly, looks bad, cannot even get out of bed without assistance and does not recognize anyone except Vera's little granddaughter. Terekhova listens to music, watches films, mainly with her participation, eats well, smiles.

Daughter Anna explains that they decided not to show their mother in such a state to the whole country, therefore they carefully protect her peace from annoying journalists and do not take her to the show, where the artist has been invited more than once. The family considers this to be blasphemy and mockery of an elderly person.
