Required products:
- black currant berries - 600 grams;

- granulated sugar - 1 glass.

- The prepared currants are sorted out, we use black berries in the recipe, but you can replace them with red currants.

- The workpiece is insisted for about half an hour, after which the water is poured into a saucepan and granulated sugar is added there.
The syrup is boiled for about five minutes, the blanks are poured over it and the compote is sealed with lids.
Harvesting red berry with orange
Orange gives the drink a brighter taste and a rich citrus aroma. When preparing compote, it is very important to rinse the orange well, since it is used in the preparation along with the peel.
Required components:
- red currant - 4 kg;
- purified water - 2 liters;
- large orange - 1 piece;
- granulated sugar - 600 grams.

The orange is washed in water several times and poured over with boiling water. After that, the citrus is cut into very thin slices; you do not need to remove the peel from the fruit
- Glass containers are washed well, after which currant berries and orange slices are placed in them. From a given amount of currants, you can get two or three cans of compote.
- Boiling water is poured into the container, the workpiece is left to infuse for twenty minutes.
After that, pour the water back into the pan and add granulated sugar to it. Boil the sugar solution for about five minutes, and then pour the syrup over the berries again

With raspberries and lemon balm
This combination of products in currant compote makes it possible to get an excellent drink for the winter. The products are selected for a 3 liter jar, if you need to close more compote, then the amount of ingredients should be increased.
Required Ingredients:
- blackcurrant - 900 grams;
- granulated sugar - 1 kg;
- fresh lemon balm - 2 branches;
- fresh raspberries - 200 grams;
- purified water - 1 liter;
- fresh lemon - 1 piece.
Cooking steps:
- Currant fruits are sorted out to remove rotten and crumpled berries, after which they are washed well and transferred to a colander.
- Currant berries are placed in prepared containers, filling the container by about half. After that, put lemon wedges and lemon balm.
- In a separate saucepan, bring purified water to a boil, add granulated sugar and fresh raspberries to it. Wait for the syrup to boil again, and then fill the workpiece with a solution with berries.
- Insist on the preparation for fifteen minutes.
- The water is again poured into a saucepan and boiled again, the berries are poured with the resulting syrup and corked.
Billet with gooseberry
This currant compote turns out to be soft and slightly sour in taste. For the winter, it is better to close the drink in 3 liter cans, since the taste of the compote is excellent.
For those who like a not too concentrated drink, it is recommended to put fewer berries, and to make a richer taste, you can add more currants. To make the taste of the drink more interesting, you should add a little mint or lemon to the preparation.
Required components:
- blackcurrant berries - 550 grams;
- granulated sugar - 600 grams;
- filtered water - 1 liter;
- ripe gooseberries - 1 kg.
Cooking steps:
- All fruits should be rinsed several times and left in a colander to drain water.
- The gooseberries and currants are transferred to jars, after which they are immediately poured with boiling water and allowed to stand for fifteen minutes.
- The liquid is poured back into the pan and sugar is poured into it.
- Mint leaves and lemon wedges can be added to the jars for flavor.
- The berries are re-poured with boiling syrup, and the containers are already corked with lids. The workpieces are insulated before cooling.
As experienced housewives say, in order for the compote to be stored longer, it is best to pour the syrup to the very edge.
You can also use frozen berries to prepare a drink, but when defrosting they lose their shape, so it is not recommended to defrost them.
To make the drink really tasty, you should pass the water through a filter, this will help get rid of the aftertaste.
