Sitting in a stuffy office when the sun is shining brightly outside the window and carefree birds chirping about something cheerfully without interruption is a real torture.

At some point, you begin to hate them all: the office, the sun, and the birds. The latter are probably making fun of us on purpose: we think that they are singing about the arrival of spring and warmth, but in fact, they are boasting of their freedom in front of people imprisoned in concrete boxes.

Plus, a recently purchased ticket to the sea literally "burns" in our pocket, and we are ready to tear our hair out of powerlessness: there are tickets, there is warmth, there is even a swimsuit, but we need to hold out for a couple of weeks before the vacation. A couple of terrible, wildly exhausting weeks.

Psychologists have long found out: in the last weeks before the vacation, the employee's level of work ability drops sharply and any interest in daily duties disappears. The desire to achieve the set goals, to do everything in the best possible way - all this evaporates somewhere. All that remains is fatigue, a feeling of overwhelm and a desire to quickly pack up our bags, turn off the phone and go away from the hateful work.

However, no matter how much we wanted to go on vacation, we still have to hold out for the remaining days. And it is best to do this as efficiently as possible: to solve important matters, and not to lose strength for a good rest.

Do you think that one excludes the other and you still have to sacrifice something? Nothing like this. You just need to stick to some simple rules, and you will see that the last days before vacation are not so terrible.

Think about vacation

You will be surprised: “I think about him all the time, that's why I suffer!”, But it is not necessary to suffer. On the contrary - rejoice! As soon as it becomes unbearably hard to work, remember why you are doing all this: imagine how in two weeks you will lie on the seashore, sip freshly squeezed juice and enjoy the gentle sunshine. Without your work, all this splendor would not exist, and you need to tighten up just a little more in order to completely relax in a few days.

Let the thought of the upcoming vacation make you happy, not unhappy. Otherwise, what's the point in them?

Allow yourself to rest

Before legal leave, you need to "practice" - so to speak, to accustom your body that very soon it will rest all day and do nothing. That is why you in no way can ignore those few days off that remained until the "moment of x".

Do not plan any exhausting activities for the weekend: spring cleaning until you blue in the face or summer cottage work until you dizzy. On weekends, it is better to go to the park with your child, walk along the alleys of your beloved city with your soul mate, or go out of town with friends. So you will kill two birds with one stone: tune in for the upcoming rest, and gain strength for the "last spurt".

Take breaks

Even if the work is intense and requires complete dedication from you, you should always remember that strength will not come from nowhere and the body needs time to recover. We have already decided that on weekends you have a rest (without cleaning and vegetable gardens!), But on weekdays you also need to take care of yourself. Therefore, do not forget to take mini-breaks from work to catch your breath.

Half a day, without blinking, looked at the monitor screen and printed important documents? Stop, get up from the table, go to the window, or pour yourself a glass of water. Just close your eyes for a few minutes is also great for relaxing. Do not drive yourself, you are not a horse.

Don't ignore difficult cases

They just need to be planned for the first half of the day. As soon as you come to work and pour yourself a cup of tea, immediately open your diary and go through the to-do list. Choose the ones that you least want to do, and get down to them.

Firstly, this way you can “unload” your evening and avoid staying late in the office, when all other colleagues have already gone home. And secondly, you will minimize the likelihood of a nervous breakdown.

Imagine: you are already tense due to the fact that you do not want to work, and even worry, thinking how many unpleasant and difficult tasks still have to be completed. It is better to deal with them in the morning, before the fatigue has covered your head.

Get enough sleep

In order to be cheerful in the morning and easily take on difficult things, you need to get enough sleep at night. Of course, your lack of sleep may be due to the fact that the road to the place of work takes a lot of time and you have to get up early at dawn, but in this case, you will have to sacrifice the evening watching TV or "hanging" on the Internet. Your emotional state and physical health are now much more important than new photos of a friend from a social network.
