On April 4, at the age of 88, a talented and beloved director, Georgy Danelia, died. Back in February, he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Until recently, the relatives hoped for a successful outcome, but the disease took its toll - because of the onset of complications, the doctors introduced Georgy Nikolaevich into an artificial coma, from which he never came out. After himself, he left a rich biography, having managed to achieve success both as a director and as an actor.

Biography

Georgy Nikolaevich was born in Georgia, in Tbilisi in August 1930, but a year later the Danelia family moved to Moscow.

Father, Nikolai, at that time was invited to the post of chief engineer of the Moscow Metro. Mother, Meri Andzhaparidze, being an assistant to "Mosfilm", and later - a production director, instilled in her little son a craving for cinema. In particular, it was she who largely influenced the choice of the specialty of Georgy Nikolaevich.

But first, the young man entered an architecture university, like his father, and after successfully completing his studies, he went to work at the design institute as an architect. True, the craving for art turned out to be stronger, so Danelia soon quit his profession for the sake of Mosfilm.

After graduating from directing courses in 1959, Georgy Danelia got a job at the Mosfilm studio as a production director. There he began his career, which brought national love.

7. "Kin-Dza-Dza!" is a phenomenal 1986 film that is still a great success thanks to its innovative mix of comedy and science fiction.
8. "Tears Falling" is a sad interpretation of the fairy tale about the Snow Queen, which Danelia considered one of his best works.

Among the director's works were other, no less grandiose and beloved by the audience, films, for example, "Afonya", "Mimino", "Nastya" or "Heads and Tails". In the 1990s, he mainly filmed his characteristic sad comedies, for which in 1997 he was awarded the State Prize of Russia.

Personal life

Georgy Danelia was officially married three times, and lived with one woman in a civil marriage. For the first time, he went to the registry office in 1951 with Irina Ginzburg, the heiress of the Minister of Construction. The romance was stormy, bright, but quickly ended, and a year later, the lovers divorced. In this marriage, the first daughter of Georgy Nikolaevich, Svetlana, was born, who later became a lawyer.

In 1957, the master met the actress Lyubov Sokolova on the set of the film "Walking through the agony". True, the girl was not very happy about the prospect of a new relationship, because she already had a tragic experience behind her, leaving pain in her soul for a lifetime. During the blockade, she lost her beloved husband of her son. But Danelia was able to melt the beauty's heart, and soon the couple had an heir, Nikolai.

After 25 years of married life with his second wife, the director met a new darling. She became the writer Victoria Tokareva. During his life with this woman, the legendary painting "Gentlemen of Fortune" was born, which still attracts millions of fans from screens.

The life of the beloved director ended in the hospital on April 4, 2019. The main reason voiced by doctors is cardiac arrest.

Despite the fact that at the beginning of March, relatives were informed about the improvement in Georgy Danelia's condition, complications after pneumonia, with which he initially ended up in the hospital ward, made themselves felt.
