Oleg Tabakov received a European award

Just a couple of weeks ago, the famous actor and director of two Moscow theaters, Oleg Tabakov, felt unwell. He underwent a minor heart operation, and now the artist has taken to work with renewed vigor. Even on the weekend, Oleg Pavlovich had to fly abroad. However, the occasion was pleasant and solemn.

On March 11, Oleg Tabakov flew with his wife Marina Zudina to Prague. And yesterday the star was awarded the Trebbia European Prize. The solemn ceremony took place according to tradition in the Municipal House of Prague, followed by a gala concert with the participation of the leading stars of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Recall that at the end of February, in the center of Leo Bokeria, Tabakov underwent a stenting operation. The procedure took just under an hour and was successful. In the hospital, Oleg Pavlovich did not stay long and after a few days he was able to enter the theater stage.

The award for the support of culture and art, as well as the contribution to the development of the dialogue of national cultures, was presented this year for the eleventh time. Oleg Tabakov is well known to the local public. In the Czech Republic, films with his participation are often shown, as well as cartoons, which were voiced by Oleg Pavlovich. The “Snuffbox” created by the renowned actor has repeatedly and successfully toured in the Czech Republic. By the way, Tabakov still considers one of his best works the role of Khlestakov in the play "The Inspector General", which in 1968 he played 30 times in Prague on the stage of the "Chinogerny Club" theater.

The jury of Trebbia is headed by the ex-president of the Czech Republic and playwright Vaclav Havel, Izvestia writes. Over the years, such celebrities as the Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, musician and public figure Bob Geldof became the laureates of the award. Opera diva Elena Obraztsova received this award last year.
