Haute Couture Week is one of the most high-profile and anticipated events in the fashion world. Firstly, designers showcase hand-made creations, and secondly, this is where they can let their imaginations run wild without thinking about whether these collections will sell well.

After all the fashion houses participating in the Week presented their masterpieces, we chose the most successful and interesting ones, in our opinion, to share with you.

Christian dior

The creative director of the Dior fashion house, Raf Simons, decided to take a short excursion into history through the prism of modern perception. The designer presented the public with rethought versions of court dresses, richly embroidered camisoles, a coat a la cardinal gray and the classic Dior silhouette.

Simons also decided to adapt couture outfits almost for everyday wear, so that fans of the brand could wear all this beauty in everyday life, and not just shine on the red carpet. Well, he did it for five plus, it's a pity that the cost of these creations will not be like the things that we are used to buying in shopping centers from democratic brands.

Elie saab

The house of Elie Saab dedicated its collection to the colors of sunsets and sunrises - shades of pink, blue, dark blue and orange-red were presented both in pure form and in a gradient, which has recently become a favorite of the brand's designers.

Truly fabulous outfits, as is customary for the brand, shone with their decoration.

Truly fabulous outfits, as is customary for the brand, shone with their trimmings, which this time, along with lace, consisted of countless pearls. This is real couture! In this only for the Oscar, nothing less. True, in outfits with so much decor you won't go far - they turned out to be not easy.

Giambattista valli

The designer decided to step away from his favorite floral prints (but only a step) to experiment with pure colors and stripes, but flowers remained a key element in the collection.

All the models walking the catwalk wore dark sunglasses and hastily tied snow-white turbans. Sailing past the guests, they demonstrated outfits with elements of Spanish style and Catholic rigor, inviting into the world of high fashion eclecticism from Giambattista Valli. Some outfits turned out to be rather controversial - but this is couture, here you can afford a little more.

Ulyana Sergeenko

This time Ulyana Sergeenko decided to surprise a little: both with materials and a source of inspiration. They were served by a difficult period in history for the Russian people - the first quarter of the 20th century, the time of the overthrow of the tsar, a coup and striving for a bright future.

It turned out quite boldly, but the designer did not deviate from her aesthetics of femininity and sophistication.

Some of the outfits were based on the works of artists of that difficult time and vivid symbols of change, for example, paintings by Kazimir Malevich and paintings by Natalia Goncharova were reflected in gradients on mohair sweaters and intricate patterns of Yelets lace on dresses. Monumental sculptures of workers and the first Soviet joys turned into metallic leather models, imitation of mimosa inflorescences and clutches, decorated in the style of mosaics and stained-glass windows of Moscow metro stations.

Valentino

The designers of the Valentino fashion house decided to turn to the canvases of the times of the great Raphael and created images of virgin nymphs in togas, as well as modest country girls in snow-white woolen dresses decorated with ears.

Not without famous, hand-made prints - the most complex embroidery on the finest silk, painting on fabric and expertly woven tapestries were pleasing to the eye. And the green spaces installed on the podium created the illusion of a fairy forest, which strengthened the already great impression of the collection.

Zuhair murad

Zuhair Murad decided to experiment with prints and geometry in his couture collection. Inspired by the lines of architectural masterpieces, he created stunning monochrome outfits with monumental flowing large folds and ornate intertwining patterns of rhinestones and lace.

Zuhair Murad decided to experiment with prints and geometry in his couture collection.

Intricate stains were chosen as prints and ornaments for some models, as if painted with paint on water, with their help the designer was able to achieve new textures and visual illusions.

At the moment, Zuhair can be a good competitor to fans of formal dresses - designers Elie Saab.
