How to overcome your fear, how to take the first steps towards your dream, how to create a business "from scratch" if you don't even have the initial capital? Imagine it is possible, and there are many people in the world who have done it. Believe me, the success story of people like Ford or Rockefeller is worth "making a fairy tale come true."

Have you ever paid attention to the fact that entrepreneurship is one of the few occupations that in most cases are inherited? As a rule, in families of hired parents, children see the difficulties that adults face in getting their daily bread, and choose their professions on the principle "I want to find something else for myself." The exception is, perhaps, doctors, lawyers, actors. And entrepreneurs, whose children almost always follow in the footsteps of their parents. By this characteristic feature, one can see that the stories about a hard lot, which businessmen like to regale those around them, are intended rather to reduce envy and stop those zealous people who are eager to leave the ranks of hired workers and go out into the open spaces of free enterprise. Therefore, you should not listen to them, or to friends, neighbors and colleagues, who urge "not to do stupid things." Know that if you decide to take your financial situation into your own hands, you have entered a difficult path leading to the fulfillment of your dream, and many will try to push you off this road, consciously or unconsciously interfere with you. If you want to be successful, you must not let your own insecurities or outside influence influence your determination.

First you need to choose what you want to do. There are two possible directions here - something that you are very good at and love to do, or something that people around you lack and for which they would willingly pay. Ideal if you find an idea that meets these two requirements at the same time. Look around you carefully, listen to conversations at a bus stop, in a store, among neighbors, think about what you yourself would pay for, but no one provides such a service or product. Still, try not to take on a job that is not to your liking or does not suit your character. A lot of people make the mistake of choosing their occupation according to the principle "I'll learn it at the same time." Perhaps you will learn, but you will not have the joy that your truly favorite pastime gives. Think about what your strong point is, what you love to do and what you would like to occupy your time with if the problem of making money was not in front of you.

When you have an idea, try talking to someone who has gone through the journey of starting their own business and succeeded. It is not at all necessary to tell what exactly you are going to do, it is better to ask how this person took the first steps. Do not hesitate and do not be afraid to take time - you will soon find that people love to remember the difficulties they have overcome and talk about their victories.

Take advice! If you don't know anything, try asking someone you think knows. Remember, people really like it when their opinion is appreciated. Good advice does not necessarily cost money, and those who give advice or do a favor tend to treat the object of their favor with fondness. Of course, the possibility cannot be ruled out that you will receive bad advice. Therefore, try to talk about the same thing with several people, do not follow the advice blindly, think it over. And most importantly - consult with people who have succeeded! You will see that they will remember with pleasure how they started from scratch and due to which they achieved their present well-being. At the same time, you will make new friends in the environment that you want to become a part of soon. Try to make friends with them, you will learn a lot from them, they will not slow you down with phrases like: "Come on, stop this nonsense, work like everyone else!" Rich people can build up your clientele, recommend you to their clients or friends. Remember that the most up-to-date sales method that produces the best results is the recommendation of friends. Many firms build their strategy on this, training agents must ask potential customers which of their acquaintances or neighbors may be interested in the offered product or service. Even if the referrer himself did not buy anything, even if he did not agree to have his name mentioned, the received phone number and surname play the role of a magic talisman that opens doors and makes people listen to your words.

Another quality that you must definitely eradicate in yourself is the fear of rejection. This fear is so great that it paralyzes the will and prevents a person from even trying to do something. Even if you are not going to sell any product, try to look at life through the eyes of a businessman and see buying and selling in any clash of interests. Do you want to apply for a job? This means that you are selling your labor. Try to learn how to sell it better, and your life will become a little more pleasant. Do you want to get married? Not sure how to lead your betrothed to an important decision? The skill to conclude deals, the ability to push the buyer to make a purchase, and then will provide you with an invaluable service. Are you already married, but do you find it difficult to achieve rapport with your own husband and children? Does your mother-in-law bully you? The saleswoman in the store was rude, and you were confused and upset for the whole day? A person who has learned to sell will at the same time master the technique to cope with such situations. No one is born with effective communication skills, but they can be learned with a certain amount of time and effort.

Fear of rejection can be overcome by an original method developed by sales agents. Its essence is to assess the approximate ratio of refusals and concluded deals in your area, and then treat each refusal as another step on the way to a deal. So, for example, if, on average, ten offers you make, there are seven rejections, then the next three offers will lead to a successful sale. This technique will help you not to get discouraged and upset about rejections, and in the end you will even learn to be happy about them, because you will know that the unpleasant part of the work is left behind.

The sales technique is not very complicated, and it can be briefly described as follows: you offer to buy something, emphasizing the usefulness of this thing or service, if it can generate income, then this must be explained, say that a person does not spend, but invests …This explanation should not be spontaneous, but prepared in advance, well thought out and learned almost by heart. The strongest arguments should be left at the end of the presentation, which should be as short as possible. When you feel that the buyer has looked at the thing through the eyes of the owner and he wants to buy it, you need to push him to make the deal. You can ask the question at what hours it is convenient for him to receive a purchase or how he wants to pay - in cash or by credit card. You can offer gift wrapping or ask which color he likes best.

Unique abilities

I would like to devote a special place to those who have some rare knowledge or skills. Surely you think that this goes without saying. Others, however, cannot. Maybe you are great with children, or you get along well with work colleagues, you know how to dress or clean very cleanly, run your house sparingly, or cook amazingly. Don't bury your talent in the ground! You can open courses and help many people improve their standard of living, and then write a book and get rich. Let me give you a small example. In the midst of the high-tech crisis, a fired programmer started a course called "No Husband". In these courses, he taught women (and men) to do minor home repairs, which some men do themselves, while the less skilled invite craftsmen and pay them good money. The courses were a huge success, and if such courses opened near my home, I would definitely sign up for them.

So, here's a plan for the first steps: come up with a good idea, consult with understanding people, learn how to sell. It's time to get down to business!
