This is not the first time scientists have warned of the potential health hazards of energy drinks. As it turns out, drinks such as Red Bull not only "inspire", but can also lead to a heart attack. Just one can a day increases your risk of health problems.

According to an Australian medical study, the popular energy drink Red Bull can cause strokes or heart attacks. When drinking a drink that "gives wings", the blood becomes thicker, which is a predictor of problems in the cardiovascular system.

A scientific team led by Scott Willoughby took blood samples from 30 young people one hour and one hour after drinking 250 milliliters of Red Bull. “An hour after drinking Red Bull, their circulatory system was similar to that of people with heart disease,” Willoughby says. He warned that consuming an energy drink in the face of stress or pressure problems can be fatal.

Red Bull is currently banned for sale in Norway, Uruguay and Denmark due to the potential health risks described on the beverage can. Nevertheless, last year the Red Bull company sold 3.5 billion cans of energy in 143 countries, RBC.ru reports.

Linda Richter, a spokesman for Red Bull in Australia, said the study would be sent to the company's headquarters for review. “The research, however, does not compare to the impact of drinking a cup of coffee. We believe that the impact of the drink will be within safe limits for health,”she commented.

Earlier, American scientists found that frequent consumption of energy drinks leads to bad habits, unsafe sex and other forms of high-risk behavior.
