On the eve of the birthday of the father of the family, all household members are considering what to give him. You can cooperate with your mother, grandmother and make a gift together. The elders in the family will take care of buying a present, and the children can make a birthday card for dad with their own hands.
Postcard "POTATO FROM McDONALDS" for beloved dad
An interesting card to present to dad for his birthday.
You will need:
- 2 sheets of colored paper in red and yellow;
- glue;
- pencil;
- ruler;
- scissors;
- felt-tip pen.
Master class for making a postcard "Potato from McDonald's" with a step-by-step photo:
- We fold a sheet of red colored paper in half along its length.
- Departing from the bottom edge 2-3 cm, mark a segment of 10 cm.
- In height, stepping back 10 cm of the segment, we make marks of 9 cm on both sides.
- Mark 1 cm inside a 10 cm segment from the edge.
- Draw lines from these marks, connecting the lower points and the upper ones.
- Closing the top lines, we get a trapezoid shape.
- Draw a semicircle at the top of this shape. We make a middle mark in the middle of the upper part of the trapezoid.
- We retreat down from it 1.5-2 cm, connect the upper points of the figure with the marked middle in the form of a semicircle.
- Draw the same arc with an indent of 1, 5-2 cm along the upper part of the figure.
- Cut out the drawn shape along the upper semicircle. We will have a double-folded trapezoid.
- On the upper part of the workpiece, we cut out a similar semicircle with an indentation downward of 1.5-2 cm.
- We glue the blank on the sides. It turned out to be an envelope for potatoes.
- We make an inscription on the envelope, at the top of it we write “my dad is the most”.
- Draw a funny face at the bottom of the bag.
- We take a sheet of yellow colored paper.
- We mark it into strips of 1, 5 cm.
- Cut out the strips. You will get an imitation of potato sticks.
- We make inscriptions like my dad is, for example: "brave, handsome, strong, loved by me, and so on."

You will need:
- 5 sheets of double-sided colored paper;
- pencil;
- ruler;
- felt-tip pen;
- scissors;
- glue stick.
You can take any paper colors, but they should be contrasting. For a handmade card for dad's birthday and described below in stages, you can take paper colors close to the color of your father's favorite shirt.
Master class making a postcard "Shirt" with a step-by-step photo:
- We take a sheet of colored A4 paper, for example, brown. We fold it in half along its length.
- Cut along the fold line.
- We fold one half into three parts. First, we wrap the left edge inward.
- We wrap the right side with an overlap on the first fold of the sheet.
- At the inside of the workpiece, cut a strip of 1 cm.
- We glue the outer and inner parts of the workpiece.
- We take our blank, apply it to a sheet of colored paper of a lighter tone, outline the contour, add another 2 cm to the upper edge, outline it with a ruler.
- We cut out the workpiece along the outlined contour.
- We put the cut out part inside the brown envelope, so that it protrudes from the top by 2 cm.
- On this protruding part, we make an indent on top of 1.5 cm in the depth of the workpiece, from 2 sides.
- We draw a line 2, 5 cm, we make cuts along it.
- We wrap the edges at an angle, this will be the collar of the shirt.
- We take small pieces of colored paper of a different color. We will cut out hearts from them, one larger, the other smaller. In size, they should fit on light sheets embedded in a brown blank.
- Fold a sheet of paper in half. Draw the outline of the half-heart.
- We cut along the contour, we do this with 2 blanks.
- Expand, glue the hearts to the blank (with a collar).
- Cut out a tie for a shirt. Take a strip of paper in a contrasting color 2 cm wide and 6 cm long. Fold the strip in half lengthwise.
- On one side, cut off the ends of the folded strip at an acute angle.
- Expand the strip. We cut it along the length from the sides, so as to give the workpiece the shape of a tie.
- We glue the tie on the paper between the cuffs of the shirt collar.
- Cut out a 3 x 3 cm square from paper of the same color as the tie.
- We round the edges of the square in a semicircle with scissors, this will be a knot on the tie.
- We glue it to the top of the tie.
- Now you need to make a pocket with a handkerchief on the shirt.
- We take light paper, cut out a small triangle or 2, these will be the ends of the scarf that will look out of the pocket.
- Cut out a rectangle about 3 cm long and 8 mm wide from brown paper.
- First, glue light triangles (the ends of the scarf) on the right side of the shirt.
- From above, so that the tips peep out, we glue a brown rectangle, an imitation of a pocket.
