The past Oscar ceremony will definitely go down in history. And primarily because of the ridiculous incident. During the show, the Best Picture winner was incorrectly named. An investigation is now underway.

Hollywood veterans Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were entrusted with the announcement of the winner in the most important nomination. Opening the concert, Beatty was somewhat confused and looked at his colleague. Dunaway seized the initiative and called the painting La La Land. A few minutes later, it became known about the error. The best was the film "Moonlight".

As Beatty explained, he received the wrong envelope. "I opened it and read: Emma Stone, La La Land." The incident is being actively discussed on social media. Many sarcastically refer to the ceremony as "out of control prank."

PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is responsible for the Academy Award winning vote count, released an official statement: “We sincerely apologize to Moonlight, La La Land, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway and the Oscar audience. for a mistake made during the announcement of the Best Film Award."

The organizers promise to investigate the unfortunate incident.
