"Suspiria" by Luca Guadagnho inspired Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke to write the whole album "Suspirium", because after creating the soundtrack for the film, he appeared.

Tom admits that the most difficult thing was to write the music for the main dance in the climax of the film - the number was called Volk

The dance, and the episode itself, had already been filmed, all that remained was to build in the musical row:

• The musician worked for a long time with the main choreographer, discussing various points related to the structure of the dance itself, dynamics and main accents. But all these other people's ideas only distracted Tom, he felt that he would not be able to create something authentic and real;
• Music must come in with a visual picture with the right contact - this is the only way to get something masterpiece. Tom could not combine it for a long time, right up to a conversation with the director Guadagnino, when he confessed that he wanted to hear something simple, pulsating and rhythmic;
• As a result, 25 different compositions were written for the film, which were included in the new album (release date - October 26).

The Radiohead frontman shared with fans a video of his performance of the acoustic version of Open Again from the soundtrack to the film.

According to the vocalist himself, the music from the film "Blade Runner" became the inspiration for the Suspiria soundtrack. At the Venice Film Festival, the film received an award for best musical accompaniment.

Ritual dances, complex ligaments and jumps are the basis of the entire film. The rehearsal space is a magical connection of each member of the troupe not only with other dancers, but also with the coven of witches. The movements are more reminiscent of not dance pirouettes, but Castaneda Tensegrity, magical passes and energy exercises in a certain rhythm. The girls dance, as if in a trance, controlling their own bodies in a completely unusual way for us.

Before the filming, serious preparation was carried out - the actresses trained like real athletes, watched the diet and caught every movement of the choreographers (the ensemble of dancers was trained by Damien Jale himself). The viewer cannot fail to note the impeccable training of Dakota Johnson, who played every joint and muscle.

Breathing, rhythm of movements and the height of the actresses' jumping are the feelings and history of Suspiria. Dancers and trainers smoke all the time, while continuing to stretch and follow the production, which sets the picture in a special mood and dynamics.

Tilda Swinton and her reincarnations

The main string in the plot was the fantastic Tilda Swinton, who played the role of the strict and mysterious Madame Blanc, the artistic director of the dance troupe. It is she who transfers the glowing energy into the hands of the young new Susie, making the dance of the student unimaginably rhythmic and plastic.

Tilda also played the role of Dr. Josef Klemper, an elderly psychoanalyst trying to get to the bottom of the truth. Although the film mainly features only women, Klemperu found a place in the plot. After all, his intentions were pure - he wanted to find the missing patient and save the girls studying within the walls of the ballet school.

The creators of the picture did not immediately admit that Swinton would appear before the audience in the male role. For a long time there were rumors that old Joseph was played by a certain Lutz Ebersdorf. Even the sculptor Josh Weston worked on the image of the actress, paying special attention to the visual aging of the skin

Even 18 months before filming began, make-up artists began working on Tilda's image, applying test makeup: thickening the chin, reshaping the ears, mastering the lips and transforming the mouth, so that the actress could talk and move freely. After months of experimentation, the result exceeded all expectations.

And the third reincarnation of Swinton was Helena Marcos - one of the main witches of the coven, who appears only in the final episode.

Dakota Johnson and the Magic of Red

Dakota took on the role of the talented and ambitious Susie Bunnion, who came to Berlin from Ohio for her old dream: she was in love with the work of Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton) and wanted to study at an elite ballet school under her leadership.

The girl is made a member of the main troupe immediately after the audition, and then she is given the main role. Madame Blanc, and the entire leadership team, understand that Susie is not here for nothing, because unknown forces "hunted" for her since childhood, luring her into the walls of the dance institution.

The coven of witches intends to introduce the young girl into their number, preparing her body and spirit. But no one even guesses what lies behind the external, fragile and quiet American dancer.

Dakota Johnson quickly immersed herself in the preparatory process, spending many hours in rehearsals and getting to know the world of professional dance. The physical fitness of the actress is amazing: the lightness of the body, the gracefulness of movements and a special emotional color - this cannot be achieved in such a short time without daily training and full dedication.

Missing Chloe Moretz

In the new film "Suspiria" 2018, reviews of which never cease to amaze with their contradictions, Chloe played the disappeared Patricia, one of the main students of the strict Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton).
