My home is my castle. How often you hear this expression! But what do people mean by the word "fortress"? A place where you can feel protected and confident, where you know for sure that no one can offend you … The medieval fortress is the most representative image that embodies the very idea of complete safety and security: narrow passages, steep long stairs going somewhere into the distance, turrets with small rooms … All made of stone. Of course, all this is offset by complete security and safety.

But did you dream of such a fortress? Being a beautiful princess awaiting her prince is, of course, completely different. This does not at all imply narrow dark passages and twilight! Yes, of course you want a palace. But to make it light, warm and comfortable there. So that in the morning the sun rushes through the window, filling the room with the delicate scent of jasmine, lilac and roses. To have a beautiful garden, well-groomed and blooming … But in the city it is only a dream. But why not bring it to life? You know that you can achieve everything!

Recently my friend moved to a new apartment. Empty and uninhabited, the two-room mansions did not inspire. Of course, she made repairs, equipped everything in the best way … she even got a kitten! Yes, the fluffy peach made the atmosphere very lively. And yet, something was definitely wrong.

But then someone gave her a flower for housewarming. It was a herbaceous creeping perennial plant Hemigraphis. His homeland is Southeast Asia. It is often found in India and on the island of Java. It loves partial shade and requires abundant watering. A friend put him in the kitchen, and then a miracle happened: the kitchen came to life, became the most favorite place for all guests and the hostess herself. True, it was not possible to immediately understand why the general attitude towards this particular part of the apartment had changed so much. Until one day we saw a miracle: during sunset, the sun's slightly warm rays fell on green leaves, and the flower seemed to catch fire.

After that, new flowers constantly began to appear in the house. A friend decided to make a "garden" out of the kitchen. The main thing was not to overdo it in such a decision, so as not to end up in the forest. Ficus benjamina was next in the house.

It is a large, spreading bush or small tree with drooping branches and small green or variegated leaves. She has a tree. While it is still small, it promises to be very encouraging in the future.

Indeed, the flowers, arranged in a certain way in the small kitchenette, made it somehow more comfortable and at the same time more spacious. The creeping hemigraphis lives on the wall, and the light-loving ficus, which requires rare watering, is identified by the window.

Where and how to deliver

Surprisingly, as soon as flowers appeared in the kitchen, my friend's life changed dramatically for the better. The most pleasant surprises began to happen: at work they started talking about a promotion, on the street a young man came up and gave a rose, making a nice compliment, which had never happened before … In the end, he appeared.

How can such a change be explained? According to Eastern philosophy, this is the influence of positive energies, which are activated due to the correct design of the kitchen.

But if we always settle down in the kitchen quite quickly, then problems often arise with the design of the hallway. And this is not surprising if you remember the layout of the corridors in standard panel houses.

But you really want to come home from work and feel that you are at home, in your cozy and safe fortress. In fact, everything is simple. It is enough to hang a small shelf somewhere half a meter from the ceiling. It is best to put ivy on it. It is extremely shade-tolerant, needs abundant watering, although it tolerates dry air well.

But remember that only ivy with solid dark leaves tolerates shade well. Plants with variegated leaves are light-requiring.

The kitchen and the hallway are, of course, wonderful. But you're probably wondering what you can do in the room. It is better to put flowers in the middle lane in the bedroom: southern plants are very fragrant, which is not very good during sleep. And tropical green plants are poisonous, they absorb oxygen, releasing a certain energy, from which many can get headaches.

Interesting design solutions - "Blooming garden" and "Pot-e-fleur". A kindergarten is a pots, large enough, where several flowers are planted at once. Most plants grow better in an indoor garden than in free-standing pots, since the roots are better protected from temperature changes, and the humidity is higher. But crowding should not be allowed - plants should not interfere with each other.

In "Pot-e-fleur", when creating a composition between the planted plants, a glass or metal test tube is additionally placed in the ground, which is filled with water. This is so that you can put fresh cut flowers there. Thus, you will have a constantly changing bright composition in your room. On a live green background, both garden and wildflowers will look very attractive.

How to place it all depends only on your imagination. You can hang a pot from the ceiling or put a special rack against the wall, attach shelves or just put it on the floor …

A ray of light in the dark realm

But the final touch should be the right lighting. If you place small multi-colored lamps (preferably daylight) under a creeping plant, then, including them according to your mood, you can always find yourself in a fairy tale … About the Sleeping Beauty or about Cinderella - everything depends only on you.

Some plants hanging from the ceiling can be illuminated from above (around the perimeter of the room) or from below. Lit from below, plants with small flowers look especially impressive.

But in fact, there are no strict rules for decorating a house with flowers. The main thing is that you put your heart and soul into this design. And then any flower, even a cactus wilted two years ago, will sparkle with new colors and will delight your eyes for a very long time. In any case, to make your life bloom and smell, you just have to want.
