Optimists live longer

The sun in early June deprived the holy Russian land of attention. People, tired in winter and, as it should be in the middle lane - in a protracted spring, took offense at the sun. It leaves us, you know, without vitamins. Considering that the Russian resident has big problems with the iodine content in food, and it affects, among other things, the mood, we did not meet summer with smiles from ear to ear on local beaches, but with sad forecasts for the summer, they say, there will be rains, according to rumors. "Let's turn green!" - a colleague cried out in despair. In fact, everything is very serious.

If the summer turns out to be the same as in the above joke, you and I will not see the vitamins in the right amount as our tailbone, therefore the immune status will also be like summer - not to hell - logically, in the fall the flu will have most of the citizens in this situation. Saving a drowning man is his own work, so let's save ourselves before it's too late.

Iodine.

To begin with, in order for enthusiasm and good mood to increase, we need to get rid of our iodine deficiency. The fool understands that you can't get rid of him by sipping on an alcohol solution, with which wounds and scratches are treated. Taking an alcoholic solution of iodine inside is harmful! Clear?

We need that iodine, which is 65% of thyroid hormones. You can solve the problem with iodized salt, but it's not so simple with it.

First, the inorganic iodine contained in this salt is completely absorbed by the thyroid gland and, in excess, can cause thyroid disease. You shouldn't lean on it.

Secondly, after three months from the date of production, iodized salt becomes ordinary salt, so when buying, pay attention to the production date.

Organic iodine is found in seaweed. However, in order to gain a daily dose of iodine, it is necessary to eat 100-200 grams per day. If you and I lived in Japan, there would be no problems, but we can't save enough money for seaweed for food every day. There remain special preparations developed to eliminate iodine deficiency. They, as a rule, take into account all the jokes of our body and eliminate the deficiency without any side effects. The cost of such drugs is low. The pharmacist at the pharmacy will tell you the details.

Don't forget that iodine deficiency leads to:

- to serious violations of physical and mental development;

- to oppression of the activity of organs and systems;

- to hypertension and atherosclerosis;

- to the development of goiter and dysfunctions of the thyroid gland;

- to infertility, decreased potency.

Symptoms of thyroid dysfunction may include weakness, lethargy, depression, loss of memory and hearing, tooth decay, hair loss, brittle nails, dry skin, and headaches. Deficiency of thyroid hormones in the fetus and in early childhood can lead to irreversible mental impairment. Not only the child's brain suffers from iodine deficiency, but also his hearing, visual memory and speech. In iodine-deficient areas, the number of miscarriages and stillbirths and infant mortality are increasing.

Vitamins.

With them there is a continuous "crisis of the genre". Of course, you can compensate for the lack of natural vitamins with some vitamin complexes from the same pharmacy. But it's like basking in front of a painted fireplace. The main disadvantage of "pharmacy vitamins" is that they cost money. Plus, not every one of us knows which vitamins the body lacks and which ones are in excess. And swallowing everything is harmful! What to do?

No, but there should be a harvest. Therefore, do not deny yourself natural vegetables and fruits. Purchased from the garden or on the market. The last ones in the season, even imported ones, will be cheaper.

It is better to harvest berries yourself in the freezer. When cooking, all vitamins, as you know, disappear. They, of course, do not increase even when frozen. But at least they remain in greater numbers. And somewhere from the beginning to mid-August, you can gradually start taking vitamin C, ascorbic acid, that is.

Vitamin C increases the body's defenses, limits the possibility of respiratory diseases, improves the elasticity of blood vessels (normalizes capillary permeability). Ascorbic acid has a beneficial effect on the functions of the central nervous system, stimulates the activity of the endocrine glands, promotes better absorption of iron and normal hematopoiesis, and prevents the formation of carcinogens. Large doses are useful for diabetic patients, heavy smokers, women using contraceptives, and for the elderly with a reduced ability of the digestive tract to absorb vitamins.

Vitamin C is found in fresh plants: rose hips, dogwood, black currant, mountain ash, sea buckthorn, citrus fruits, red pepper, horseradish, parsley, green onions, dill, watercress, red cabbage, potatoes, rutabagas, cabbage, vegetable tops. In medicinal plants: nettle, budra, lovage, forest fruits. The optimal need for vitamin C for an adult is 55-108 mg, for pregnant and lactating women - 70-80 mg, for children in the first year of life - 30-40 mg. Vitamin C is very unstable. It decomposes at high temperature

And further…

Research by the San Antonio Health Research Center in Texas has shown optimists live longer. A study of 800 older Americans was asked to answer the question "Are you looking forward to the future?" Within 7 years, 89% of the optimists and 71% of the pessimists remained alive. But Czech scientists have been observing a group of people of various emotional types for several years, trying to answer the following question: "Does a person's character affect the degree of his resistance to stressful situations?" It turned out that with strong emotional stress in people, blood pressure rises equally, heart rate and pulse become more frequent. However, in people with an optimistic disposition, these changes are less pronounced than in pessimists. Therefore, doctors believe that people with an easy, cheerful disposition, who know how to enjoy life in all its manifestations, are much healthier, tolerate diseases more easily and have a real chance to live up to 100 years or more.

So, do not forget to smile at the sun in the morning. Although it has recently been some kind of Chernobyl.
