The successful showman, known to viewers from the cult series filmed in St. Petersburg, where he played small but memorable roles for the audience, was known to avid theatergoers for his successful work at the Buffo MDT. The future actor, performer and just a man of inexhaustible creative energy was born in Vologda. He was raised by his grandparents, who, according to the actor, were the people who gave him a happy childhood.

Grandfather was an honored person, awarded orders and medals.

Little Artyom was not allowed to play with them in childhood, but they were passed on to him by inheritance. The actor's biographers do not mention the circumstances that led him to enroll in St. Petersburg, but from the very first attempt he managed to enter the SPb GATI and get on the course of the famous professor T. Such an education could open the doors of any theater and every film studio for Anchukov, but he preferred a permanent job in the St. Petersburg music and drama theater, where he played roles of a different scale and of a different nature. From later works, the roles in the "Cop Wars", "Major", "Shaman" and in "The Magnificent Five" are immediately recalled, although this is only a small part of the images played by Anchukov in the cinema. Four years ago he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia.

Artem Anchukov was not married. The artist was credited with a relationship with the singer Tatyana Bulanova, with whom he worked closely. They recorded several compositions together, but, according to media reports, their union was not only creative. On his Instagram, Artem often posted joint photos with Tatyana. In March 2021, congratulating the singer on her birthday, he wrote to her: "Thank you for being in my life."

Anchukov was immersed in work as much as possible, so when he fell ill in mid-May, he did not attach any importance to this. I thought it was a cold. He even told about this to his close friend Tatyana Bulanova. Then none of them could have imagined that everything would end tragically.

- Artem thought he had a cold on the set. Nevertheless, the next day I tested for coronavirus and the result was positive, - Tatiana Bulanova shared with KP. - At the same time, Artem wanted to give a vaccine against the virus, but, apparently, did not have time … In general, he always monitored his health and led a healthy lifestyle. I don't know about any of his illnesses.

His family also knows nothing about Artyom's illnesses. One of the last people the artist spoke to was his mother:

“My son just wanted to live,” said Artyom's mother, Marina Chistyakova, in a conversation with KP-Petersburg. - The disease started unexpectedly. Artyom told me that he had a fever, after that he passed the test for covid himself, and then immediately went to the doctors. He took all measures at once, without delaying a day. In our last conversation, my son said to me: "Mom, I am fighting." After that he was taken to intensive care. He, like the doctors, like us, thought that he would overcome the disease, but could not.

Chronic diseases were aggravated by covid

However, "KP-Petersburg" managed to find out the true cause of Artyom's illness. It turns out that the artist's lung damage was total. Before his death, he was on mechanical ventilation in a medically induced coma. Doctors fought for his life to the last, consulted with everyone with whom they could. But, alas, the actor died without regaining consciousness. According to "KP-Petersburg", the artist was not as healthy as he looked, but had a number of chronic diseases. Covid, infection and respiratory failure led to his death.

The funeral service for Artyom Anchukov will take place at 13:30 on June 8 at St. Andrew's Cathedral on Vasilievsky Island. After that, the farewell will begin at 17:00 at the Tinkoff Arena.
