• In a suitable container, mix the glue with a little water. We lower the thread into the prepared solution so that it can be completely saturated with it.
• We fix the end of the thread on one of the matches, making a small knot, which we then cut off.
• We wrap the thread around the star, fixed on the foam, winding the thread in front of the match, then in the back. If you wish, you can walk along the contour with the thread twice, and also put another row of matches to get a wide frame of the star.

• Having finished with the contour, we distribute the thread, moistened with glue solution, in a certain planned order, in waves, rings and half rings, overlapping layers, etc. We leave the entire structure to dry thoroughly for at least a day.
• Such a decoration can be hung on the door, additionally decorating (if desired), and also to decorate any other surfaces with its help. In addition, stars made of threads of different sizes and colors can make up an excellent stylish New Year's garland.

New Year's candlestick in eco-style

In a very fashionable style, we will make a decoration for the New Year 2020 with our own hands from improvised natural materials.

You will need:

• thick cardboard;
• sackcloth;
• glue gun;
• massive candles - 3 pcs.;
• cones of different shapes;
• acrylic white paint;
• brush;
• decorative elements: cinnamon sticks, star anise, dried mugs of oranges, etc.

Manufacturing:

We prepare the cones, for which we "snow" them with different intensities. Some cones are slightly "grabbed" with paint, others are completely covered. Leave to dry, if desired, some cones can be sprinkled with sparkles

Cut out a ring about 15 cm wide from cardboard. Lay out the burlap, put a ring made of cardboard and cut out a circle, departing from the contour of the ring 15 cm

In the middle of the burlap circle we make a crosswise cut, bend the corners onto a cardboard ring, and fix it with glue

We also fold the outer part of the circle onto the ring, making folds, and glue the structure

We glue the candles to the prepared ring in any order, symmetrically or asymmetrically, at your discretion

We make a certain composition of the cones, then fix them with glue

Felt Penguin

As a decoration for the New Year 2020, cute and simple felt crafts made with your own hands using mom's piggy bank of needlework secrets are perfect.

What you need:

• felt white, yellow and two shreds of any other colors;
• glue gun;
• threads of two colors, a needle;
• two buttons for the peephole;
• synthetic winterizer.

We cut out two one-piece parts of the penguin's head and body from felt of a color chosen at random

From the same color we cut out six identical parts in the form of small elongated ovals - the wings and tail of a penguin

• Cut out one part of the abdomen and muzzle from white felt, glue it to one of the parts of the head and body.
• Sew on button eyes and a nose. We cut out the details of the spout from yellow felt in advance, sew it with an overlock seam and fill it with padding polyester.

• We connect both one-piece parts of the head and body to each other, sew with a decorative seam "over the edge" using matching threads. We leave a small section unstitched, fill the toy figure with padding polyester and sew it on.
• We also sew the wings and tail using matching threads.

Crystal snowflakes on the windows

A very simple and incredibly effective window decoration can be made for the New Year 2020 with your own hands using templates and glue.

What you need:

• tracing paper or thin parchment;
• glue gun;
• narrow tape.

Manufacturing:

We put tracing paper on the template of snowflakes, previously downloaded, printed and cut out of paper

• To create a beautiful New Year's composition, it is better to immediately stock up on snowflake patterns of different sizes and shapes. We fix the tracing paper on the snowflake in any way or just hold it with the other hand so that it does not move.
• We coat each line on the snowflakes with glue from a glue gun, let it dry and peel it off.

• We fix the learned crystal snowflakes on the windows with small inconspicuous pieces of scotch tape.
• In New Year's compositions on the windows, you can use a combination of crystal snowflakes and PVA snowflakes, as well as colored and shiny ones.

To get colored snowflakes, add a few drops of paint to the PVA glue, draw a snowflake. If desired, sprinkle sparkles on the snowflake until it is dry

Stylish garland of colorful candy wrappers

You can make a fairly large number of different decorations from paper for the New Year 2020 with your own hands, including garlands.

What you need:

• multi-colored candy wrappers (a lot);
• a needle, the base of the garland in the form of a strong thin rope.

Manufacturing:

Having decided to make such a very effective, but rather laborious garland, candy wrappers must be collected by the whole family throughout the year. However, if you wish, you can find other sources of their accumulation

You can adjust the width of the garland using not whole candy wrappers, but cut into equal parts (2, 4, etc.). The main thing is to use parts of candy wrappers of the same size

We twist all the blanks from candy wrappers into tubes and string each tube on a needle with a strong thread

We pierce the tubes exactly in the center, you can not follow their position relative to each other, as well as the fact that the edges of the tubes begin to unwind

If there are a lot of candy wrappers and they are all the same size, the New Year's tinsel turns out to be very effective and will decorate any interior with great success.

Herringbone made of paper napkins

Let's create with our own hands for the New Year 2020 from scrap materials, eye-pleasing decorations for the New Year's interior decor.

What you need:

• thin cardboard for crafts in A4 format (you can use another, larger or smaller size);
• glue gun;
• scissors, pencil;
• newspapers;
• a box of chocolates or a piece of cardboard of the same density;
• napkins with a predominance of green.

Manufacturing:

We make a cone from thin cardboard by folding it into a bag and trimming the bottom

We fill the cone with crumpled scraps of newspapers and place it on the prepared cardboard, outline the contour of the base

We make allowances of 2 cm around the entire circumference of the base, cut out

We cut the resulting circle around the entire circumference for the convenience of fixing the circle on the cone

We glue the lower surface of the cone, glue the base to it, bending the segments of the outer circle. You can also apply glue to the sections of the base allowance themselves

We fold the napkins in several pieces and cut in half, then cut each half in half again. We get several stacks of squares, some of which are double

Separate double napkin squares. Taking each square blank in hand, insert a pencil into the middle from the wrong side. Insert the pencil with the non-pointed side
