In 2022, the same rules apply for the carriage of children under the age of 12 in cars as in 2021. They require the use of a suitable safety device that is suitable for the anatomy of the child of a certain age.

The new version of the SDA of March 1, 2021 provides for the use of child restraints in accordance with the age, height and weight of the child.

All children under 7 years old, when traveling in a car equipped with standard seat belts or the ISOFIX system, must be transported in special devices that provide a firm fixation of the baby in case of sudden braking of the car or when it collides with an obstacle.

For this can be used:

• child car seats;
• boosters;
• special adapters and child restraint systems.

Using the booster to transport children

It is important not only in itself to use a booster to securely fix the child on the seat, but also the compliance of such a device with the parameters provided for by the traffic rules. The security system must comply with the "List of Requirements for Types of Components for Road Transport" provided for by the "Technical Regulations" and "UNECE Regulations" No. 44-04. To do this, each product, before entering the Russian market, must receive a special marking:

• for Russian boosters, there are two options for the digital and alphabetic code - UNECE No. 44-04 and GOST R 41.44-2005;
• for imported models, the ECE R44 / 04 mark is used.
