While his father taught students, and his mother was engaged in political issues, Sergei Vladimirovich graduated from the university, having received a financial education. Using the acquired knowledge, he burst into the world of business, by 2006 heading a network of enterprises owned by VTB Bank.

Also, the son gave his parents a granddaughter Arina. After in 2006 Sergei broke up with the famous beauty and artist Zara. In 2008, he decided that love is more important than social inequality and married an ordinary student, Yulia.

When Vladimir Vasilyevich retired, he decided to continue to remain in the shadow of his famous wife and son. A man tired of the bustle of St. Petersburg built a dacha in the Leningrad Region at the Gromovo station.

There he studied science and raised a growing granddaughter while her parents were busy with business affairs and regularly appeared in photos in newspapers.

Over the years, the health of her husband Valentina Matvienko began to deteriorate. Due to illness, he was confined to a wheelchair. It is possible that this was the cause of the death of the man. Until his last days, Vladimir Vasilyevich remained faithful to his convictions and lived quietly in the village, giving up the opportunity to become famous for the sake of his family and what he loved.
