Winter is a great time of the year. That is why many works of art are dedicated to her. Children can contribute too. Today we will consider the most interesting crafts made from natural materials on the theme of "winter", which even a child can make.
Christmas tree made of cones
Those who stocked up with pine cones in the fall are very lucky, because they will be able to make an original handicraft from natural material on the theme of "winter". It is quite easy to make a Christmas tree from cones, the main thing is to use good glue that can hold them together. So, first, let's consider what materials we need, besides the cones.
We will need:
- cones;
- thick cardboard;
- glue "Moment" or hot glue;
- tinsel;
- felt;
- garlands, small balls and other decorations on request.
Progress:
First of all, you need to make a cone, which will be the frame for our tree. To do this, cut off the corner of the cardboard, making the cut arched. We fold the cardboard and glue it. If the bottom of the cone turns out to be uneven, the excess can be cut off
- We turn to the most interesting process - we begin to stick the cones. As mentioned earlier, it is better to use glue that sticks well to different objects, since the bumps for regular glue will be quite heavy.
- When all the cones are glued, they must be allowed to dry well and only then proceed to the next stage.
- If our tree is ready, you can start decorating it. For this we use tinsel, a small garland and even small balls.

And also as a decoration you can use stars cut out of felt with your own hands. In the process of decorating, you can give free rein to your imagination
So, our craft from natural material on the theme of "winter" is ready.
Christmas tree made of branches to decorate the room
A big plus of this craft is that it can be used not only for contests and all kinds of exhibitions, but also for home decoration. In addition, the creation of such a spruce will take a maximum of 10 minutes.
We will need:
- any sticks that are not too long;
- thick threads;
- Christmas toys, tinsel and garland for decoration.
Progress:
Before starting to create this eco-stick, we need to collect sticks of different lengths and approximately the same thickness in the park or forest
We lay out the sticks in the sequence shown in the photo. Sticks must necessarily go from small to large, otherwise the craft from natural material on the theme of "winter" will not work
We tie all the sticks with thick threads of the color you like. Do not forget to make a loop so that our tree can be hung on the wall
Now let's start decorating the Christmas tree. We hang garlands, tinsel and other decorations in any order, the main thing is that the final composition looks presentable
We place the finished craft on the wall. Our eco-wheel is ready
Snowy house
This is not just a craft, but a real composition. Next to the house, you can make a funny creature out of a bump and an acorn cap. And with some experimentation, you can come up with new elements for this composition.
We will need:
- small branches;
- cone;
- cotton wool;
- wooden plank or cardboard (25 × 15 cm);
- black plasticine;
- a small piece of foam;
- PVA glue;
- cardboard.
Progress:
We will need sticks to make our house, so they should all be about the same length (10 cm)
With the help of plasticine, we collect the house. It is advisable to immediately do this on the plank where it will be located, so that later you do not have to transfer it somewhere
We take the remaining sticks and carefully trim them with a knife so that decorative windows and doors can be made from the bark. For this purpose, we also need glue or plasticine to attach these elements to our house
So that when you transfer the craft, the house does not move out anywhere, it must be immediately attached to the base with plasticine
To make the roof, we first need to make a cardboard frame. Looking at the photo, it is quite easy to understand what shape and size the frame should be. The base of the roof should consist of 4 triangles, as shown in the photo
We glue the roof from the inside and install it on the house. If you wish, you can add a pipe made from a small piece of stick. The pipe is also attached to the frame with plasticine
We glue the base of the roof to the house
You can make a fence from the same small sticks by placing them along the edge of the board and securing them with plasticine
Now let's move on to creating a goblin from a cone, which will become an interesting part of our handicraft made from natural materials on the theme of "winter". From thin sticks we make the legs and arms of the devil, and from the cap from the acorn we create the decoration for the devil
We make eyes from plasticine. And also as a decor, you can make a tree from branches and decorate it with foam. This will give the impression that the tree is covered with snow. To install the tree, we again use plasticine
All the most difficult work has been completed. It remains to decorate the roof of the house with improvised snow (cotton wool), which we fix with glue
We also decorate the area near the house with cotton wool

Christmas wreath of cones
This craft is not entirely made of natural materials, but you simply have to make it, as it is a symbol of winter and the New Year. In fact, making such a wreath is very easy, but we will still look at making it step by step.
We will need:
- thick cardboard;
- cones;
- Super glue;
- baking paper;
- paper tape;
- paper;
- sponge;
- green paint;
- wire;
- ribbons, bows and other decorations to choose from.
Progress:
We start this master class by creating a cardboard base. To do this, we cut out the so-called bagel from thick cardboard, the size depends on your desire. But we must not forget that the base should not be too small, otherwise it will be inconvenient to attach cones to it
Another caveat: the base must be voluminous, so we need baking paper. It must be crumpled and glued to the front side of our base with paper tape
Now let's move on to creating makeshift fir branches. Of course, you can use real spruce branches, but it will be much more difficult to attach them to the wreath
So, we take paper and paint over it on both sides with green acrylic paint
When the leaf is dry, cut it into rather thin strips and fold them several times to create a fringe
Expand the resulting detail. The wire must be bent in half and wrapped in fringe. Small branches can be connected together and create whole compositions
The result is very realistic details, really like spruce branches
We glue cones and spruce branches from paper with superglue. We decorate our wreath with various decorative elements such as ribbons, bows and beads. By the way, to make the wreath look more interesting, some cones can be painted with acrylic paint
Composition from live spruce
This handicraft made of natural material on the theme of "winter" is not as simple as the previous ones, but all the efforts are worth it. To make the composition beautiful and neat, you need to follow the instructions carefully. By the way, such a craft will be both an excellent decor element and a great gift idea.
We will need:
- floristic sponge;
- pots or any other container;
- secateurs;
- live spruce branches;
- cones;
- wire;
- decorations on a winter theme.
Progress:
The first in the list of things necessary for creating a composition is a floral sponge. We will start with it. You can buy this sponge at a flower shop. First, the floristic lip (or, as it is also called, "brick") needs to be soaked. To do this, pour water into a basin and put a floral brick in it. At first, he will float on the surface, and in no case should he be pressed with his hands and immersed in water. After about a minute, he himself will be completely wet
- When the floristic brick gets wet, carefully pull it out of the water.
- We take any container we like in which the composition will be created. Do not forget that the container must correspond to the width of the brick. If the brick is higher than the edges of the container, it does not matter, it can be easily cut to the desired size with an ordinary kitchen knife. In this case, it is desirable that the floristic sponge was 2-2.5 cm above the edges of the container.
Fill the void around the edges of the pot with the remains of floral bricks, and cut off the sharp corners of the sponge with a knife
Now the most interesting stage of making a composition begins - the process of decorating. We take branches of live spruce and cut them to the same size. At the base, we clean the branches from needles so that it is convenient to stick them into the floral brick
We stick spruce branches in a circle so that there is no empty space. When the shape of the composition is set, you can continue to stick branches into the empty spaces of the floral brick. As a result, we should have a rather voluminous and lush composition
We continue to decorate our composition with cones. You can take special decorative cones that already have a "leg". Thanks to it, the cones can be easily inserted into the floral sponge. You can also use ordinary cones collected in the forest and secure them with wire
We continue to decorate the composition with different elements. Almost any decoration will do, be it small balls, artificial twigs, and so on. In general, you can use all the decorative elements corresponding to the "winter" theme
To make the balls more convenient to insert into the composition, it is worth attaching a wire to them
A very beautiful handicraft made of natural material on the theme of "winter" is ready
Each piece of natural material on the theme of "winter" is individual and interesting in its own way, so it is simply impossible to choose the best one. So, if possible, we recommend doing all the crafts, because this is a very exciting activity.
