Stacy Herald, who is officially recognized as the smallest woman in the world, is preparing to become a mother for the third time. A resident of the United States, whose height is only 71 centimeters, is actually doing a feat, since pregnancy is a serious danger to her life. According to doctors, a fetus growing inside Stacy can kill its mother.

Stacy Herald suffers from osteogenesis - a disease in which the lungs are poorly developed, and the bones are very fragile and practically do not grow. However, despite the illness, in 2000 Stacy met Will, with whom she worked in a supermarket, and four years later they got married. However, Will cannot be called tall either - his height is about 160 cm.

During the previous pregnancy, the smallest mother in the world moved in a wheelchair and added 9 kg to her 24 kg: “I had the largest belly that you have ever seen in your life. I had to lie down all the time, and I could be compared to a snail, my belly was so big. I looked like a big potato with legs and arms, so much so that the feet were not visible."

Immediately after the wedding, the couple thought about children, and at the moment Stacey already has two children. In her first pregnancy at 28 weeks, doctors decided to give Stacey a caesarean section, and little Katheri was born. The girl weighed less than a kilogram. As it turned out later, the baby had inherited her mother's illness.

Then Gerald became pregnant again. Last year, at 34 weeks, the couple had a daughter, Makaya. The girl's weight at birth was already almost normal - about two kilograms. And the baby's height was 45 cm, i.e. in fact, she was only 25 cm shorter than her mother.

Now 35-year-old Stacy says that, despite all the difficulties, she is really happy, because children are a miracle and her greatest joy: “They told me all my life that I would never have children, but something inside me is it couldn't believe it. I think that now we will not stop at three children, because they are our best gifts."
