The singer intrigued fans by announcing that her new album will be released soon. Mariah Carey notes that it will have lyrical and funny compositions.

“I've been working on a new album for some time now. This is a job that I love and I am very excited,”the star told PEOPLE. The singer will also continue her performances at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Her new performances will begin in February 2019. “I feel like I am now in a period in my life where I can fully express myself as a songwriter and singer. I just feel very good,”says Mariah.

Despite the fact that her album should be "modern", the singer insists that she does not intend to follow any trends. “My fans want to hear how I express myself, want to hear me speak from my heart and sing with my heart,” said the singer. - Some of the compositions will be light and funny, while others will be lyrical. It will be a mixture of different things."

When Carey returns to Vegas, she intends to update the playlist. “I really enjoy performing there,” she admits. - Many fans who came to the show were happy that I was performing different songs.
