And if earlier only ships were sewn clothes from canvas (sails, you guessed it), then, two and a half hundred years ago, one enterprising American created for himself very special pants that do not allow dust and dirt to pass through, which were worn for a long time and were easily washed, then other people wanted the same trousers, but now you can see denim coats, jackets, dresses, bags, shoes, and even underwear.

The biggest originals among designers sew evening and wedding dresses from denim. Denim fashion today is very diverse: "sophisticated" jeans with many pockets and trousers detachable below the knees coexist peacefully with a classic cut and natural colors. Relevant are "mud", trimming from natural fur, embroidery, decoration with crystals, frills and flounces and "gold paint" along the lines of wear. Minimalism and hi-tech, eclecticism and "environmentalism" - everything is acceptable, the main thing is the ability to combine and wear.

Jeans are perhaps the most popular and practical clothing. But, despite its practicality, you can make mistakes when choosing and caring for them. When choosing clothes, we pay attention to how they fit. Jeans are hard and soft. If the jeans are soft and tight, then you should wear tanga panties under them, otherwise the visible contours of your underwear will spoil the appearance. Jeans should not hang down like a bag or fit in the wrong way. Focus on the sizes indicated on the jeans - this is a fraction of two numbers. The first number is the size at the waist. The second number is the length.

The size

On the label, the size of jeans is usually indicated as follows: W 34 L 34, where the number next to W indicates the size at the waist, and next to L - the length. To determine your jeans size, subtract the number 16. For example, your size is 48, then you need to take (48-16) 32nd size.

However, their sizes are not as simple as the sizes of other clothes. The fact is that different countries and firms have their own size system, and different sizes can be hidden under the same numbers on different jeans. It's okay, for that you need a fitting.

Reputable firms use only high-quality dense fabric that has undergone special processing - the fabric is pre-shrunk, so it is always even and practically does not shrink. So you can try on jeans one size smaller.

All jeans tend to increase in size (but not in length!) After about a month of wearing, be sure to keep this in mind. Therefore, the first time you have to make some effort to button the jeans. But if the attempts to fasten it are clearly delayed, then this instance should be postponed.

Length

Now - the length. It is measured in inches and ranges from 28 to 36. L 28 means height 157-160 centimeters, L 36-190. Today it is fashionable for jeans to slightly cover the shoes. You should not buy jeans with a margin in length, hoping to shorten them. If you cut them, then the fabric deteriorates, the aesthetics are disturbed. As a last resort, you can fold, but only soft jeans.

The price of a fashion item is often determined not by quality or design, but by the presence or absence of a logo. For one or two words with the name of the brand, the consumer is ready to pay ten times more than for a better item, but without the cherished label.

When choosing a model that suits your style, keep in mind that Versace jeans are designed for thin legs, Hugo Boss practically does not sew ultramodern models, the classic Rifle cut seems outdated to many, like the Klaus Montana jeans. The easiest and most reliable way to recognize a fake is to turn the jeans inside out and check the seams for accuracy. In branded ones, there can be no tightening of threads, breaks of stitches, and the thread on the seam connecting the legs should end in a long, 10-12 centimeters, chain of loops. In addition, on real jeans, the inner seam is double, made with special yellow silk threads, which do not change color during wearing and washing; they have a "figure eight" on their pockets, the inscriptions on the rivets correspond to the name, and at the bottom of the trouser legs they are hemmed with a special double stitching.

Marking

Look at the label (real jeans should have a "chewed", "battered" look, evenly stitched around the entire perimeter).

Textile:

Jean - cotton fabric with a diagonal weave thread. All material is painted in one color. It is used for sewing products of not the highest quality, expensive models of jeans are not sewn from it.

Denim - coarser, but also more expensive denim. Its base is dyed dark blue (indigo) and the pile is bleached. When washing, the base becomes lighter, softer, and the pile remains unchanged. Jeans of all models are sewn from such fabric, including the most expensive ones.

- Don't dry clean your jeans.

- Fasten your jeans with zippers or buttons before washing.

- Turn the jeans inside out.

- Before soaking, dissolve the detergent in water, not rashes it onto your jeans.

- Use powders that do not contain bleaches.

- You can add some vinegar while soaking black or colored jeans.

- Soak and wash your jeans separately from other items.

- Soak jeans for no longer than 2 hours in warm water (no higher than 40C).

- Wash at the same temperature.

- Only wash your jeans with your hands. As a last resort, use only the normal washing machine cycle.

- Do not curl or wring your jeans after washing. Let the water drain by straightening and hanging your jeans around your waist in the open air, but not in the sun.

- Do not put on your jeans wet, so as not to stretch them.

- Don't put arrows on your jeans. But do not deny yourself the pleasure of ironing jeans after washing - after this procedure they will become softer, more comfortable, and they will look newer and neater.

- Real jeans fade a little, but do not lose color. And after the second or third wash, the water should not be brightly colored in the color of the material.
