On August 3, 1959, the first International Film Festival opened in Moscow. To be more precise, the festival resumed after a break, changing its name from "Soviet" to "Moscow". The Moscow International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world and is a class "A" festival (only film premieres participate in the competition). Today in the history of the festival there are a lot of bright moments, and one of its main highlights is the arrival of foreign stars.
