As you already know, the Beauty for a Million project regularly runs contests with various beauty prizes on its Instagram page. Valentina became the winner of one of them, her award - free dental implantation using the ALL-ON-4 method. In the last report, we told the story of a difficult relationship between a woman and dentists. Today Valentina is happy to share the details of the operation to install implants.

When I got a call from the EspaDent clinic and was invited for a consultation, I, frankly, was even slightly taken aback. This meant that I was applying for a free dental implantation! Of course, on the appointed day I arrived at the place and was ready to meet with the dentists. When I was waiting for my appointment, I tried to single out my competitors from the clients of the clinic, but I did not succeed.

The consultation was conducted by the doctor Nikolai Semenovich Kislitsa. I liked him right away, a very positive person, instills confidence! Nikolai Semenovich conducted an examination, asked several questions to clarify the details, and then proceeded to study the X-ray image, which I also captured for consultation. But the picture did not provide sufficient information, since it was impossible to understand what the thickness of the bones was. Therefore, the doctor recommended to undergo another study - 3D tomography.

The picture was taken here in the clinic, the results were at the doctor in a matter of minutes. He began to carefully examine the 3D images from different angles. Then he made the necessary measurements and showed in the picture in which places the implants will be installed.

And the doctor, in the process of examining the image, came to the conclusion that I additionally needed to remove the remnants of the root and filling material. It turns out that when my tooth was removed at the age of 17, the doctor left a small piece of the root. In subsequent years, when I went to the dentists, they almost all tried to treat my cyst, although, perhaps, the reason was completely different! There is a possibility that it was due to a medical error that I lost my front teeth.

Based on the results of the examination, Nikolai Semenovich told us what was ahead of us. First, it will be necessary to remove the remnants of the tooth root and filling material, then - the two remaining teeth in the upper jaw, and only after that he will install the implants. In addition, the doctor also touched on the teeth in the lower jaw. He said that two implants and a small restoration would be enough here. You can also install veneers to add a Hollywood smile.

Actually, this is where the consultation ended. The administrator warned that when the final decision on the winner of the competition was made, I would be invited to the clinic.

Leaving the doctor's office and heading home, I began to clearly realize that I had a real chance to get rid of my problem! Yes, I wanted to win, I was very worried about this. I even lost 3 kg of weight, which was an additional reason for joy - my transformation has already begun! And when I heard from the telephone receiver that I had won a free dental implantation and that they were waiting for me at the EspaDent clinic for an operation, I literally jumped with delight! It seems that a whole ton of adrenaline at that moment poured into my blood, I plunged into a state of euphoria!

I was assigned a date for the operation and told about the tests that need to be done. I followed all the recommendations and asked that the research results be sent to me and to the clinic at the same time.

Dental implantation was scheduled for me just for a big Orthodox holiday - St. Panteleimon. It was a pleasant coincidence, since this saint is the patron saint of medicine, he is usually prayed for recovery.

When I arrived at the clinic, the doctors again invited me for a consultation. True, now, together with Nikolai Semenovich, the orthodontist surgeon Malinovsky Dmitry Sergeevich also examined me. He also took some pictures of the jaw.

After that, the immediate preparations for the operation began. The nurses gave me a set of disposable medical clothes, measured my blood pressure, took blood and took me to the operating room. When I settled into a comfortable chair, the doctor set to work.

The first thing I did was an injection with anesthesia. And this is perhaps the most unpleasant thing in the whole procedure. Further, I did not feel anything, only from time to time I felt a slight pressure on the gums and some movements in the mouth.

The operation lasted approximately 1.5 hours. I was then given another shot to prevent swelling and given cooling packs. I applied them to my cheeks while I waited for the orthodontist. In the end, Dmitry Sergeevich made a cast of both jaws and sent me home to recover.

Yes, I was also given separate recommendations: I had to sleep for the next few days only on my back in a half-sitting position, prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers, prescribed a mouthwash with chlorhexidine, and also advised me not to bend over and follow a diet (I could only eat soft food).

The day after the operation began for me with an unpleasant surprise: the left cheek was still very swollen, and a bruise was visible on it. I took photographs of this "beauty" and sent them to the clinic. Coordinator Daria assured that there was nothing wrong and that I could go to the clinic for an appointment. I did just that.

A ready-made denture was already waiting for me at the clinic! Absolutely the same as we discussed with the doctor. It was made surprisingly quickly, wasn't it? Dmitry Sergeevich immediately proceeded to install it. Since I felt a slight pain from touching the rough plastic on the gum, the doctor injected me with anesthesia. Then the work went very quickly and without any unpleasant sensations! The doctor did everything very well, in the end he sharpened the prosthesis and polished it so that it would be comfortable for me to wear it.

I was also given detailed advice on the care of my new teeth. They also said that in case of any pain or breakage of the prosthesis, I can go to the clinic. They will eliminate all damage to the structure free of charge, since the prosthesis is under warranty (as well as implants). I have to wear a denture for two weeks.

What can I say about my feelings? I really am still in a state of euphoria and delight! I began to get used to my new teeth immediately after installing the prosthesis. Yes, the swelling still persists, although it is not so big, and the bruise began to be painted in all colors. But this is only a cosmetic defect that will soon disappear. But my teeth will remain!

By the way, on the same day, when the dental constructions were installed, I accidentally met my friend. And what was her surprise when she saw teeth in the place where three days ago there was nothing.

Now I am waiting for my life to change. To speed up my recovery, I even started doing exercises to improve diction. I regularly repeat various tongue twisters and train my articulation. It doesn't matter that a little lisp remains, soon my teeth and speech will be perfect!

Dentist-orthodontist-surgeon comment: Unfortunately, Valentina's case is widespread. In order to regain her faith in dentists and at the same time restore her smile, in our clinic the woman was offered a modern method of one-step implantation ALL-ON-4. The essence of the technology is to install 4 implants on the jaw.
