Dear Readers! Alexander Pryanikov, after making a decision to participate in the "Beauty for a Million" project, got acquainted with many cosmetic procedures. In his next diary, he will tell about how the hair transplant took place. You probably noticed that this procedure made its debut only this season, so you will probably be interested to find out firsthand what it is.

So, you already know that I have been thinking about the decision to transplant my hair for a long time in order to make my hair thicker and restore hair lost over the years of a difficult acting and television life. I have already heard a lot about this procedure and even saw people who dared to perform such a manipulation. I always looked at them with a feeling of envy, and I never gave up the idea of someday following their example.

And now I finally got this chance! In the Reneo clinic, in consultation with Dr. Buyanov, I learned about all the intricacies of hair transplantation. Together with the doctor, we determined the "boundaries" of the transplant and agreed on the date of the operation. I didn't even notice how this long-awaited day came for me.

I arrived at the clinic in the morning, and the staff was already working hard. I noted for myself the atmosphere of confidentiality, it is created here for all guests. And I think that it is very good when the clinic is able to keep the "incognito" regime, such an attitude to the patients' personal lives deserves respect. For a moment so - a private atmosphere is preserved in everything!

First, I was taken to a special room, where I changed into a medical kimono. Then they took me to the operating room. By the way, this room has nothing in common with an ordinary operating room. Where have you, for example, seen a large TV in the operating room? And a patient chair is another story altogether! It seems that I have never seen anything more convenient in my life. It can be compared to the seats on planes for first class passengers, but only better:))

When I was handed the remote control from the TV and I settled comfortably in a leather armchair, Vasily Vasilyevich began his work. He first shaved the back of my head and then injected anesthesia. After that, the sensitivity of the scalp was completely lost. At some point it seemed to me that I would hardly feel something, even if coals were lit on my head and they began to grill a barbecue!

Despite the complete painlessness of the procedure, it still had one negative point. Believe it or not, this is the need to lie during the entire manipulation. Paradoxically, lying for a long time is so exhausting! I managed to watch a bunch of television programs, did a lot of things … When Vasily Vasilyevich took short breaks, I got up with such pleasure and stretched my legs !!!

Even my daughter, who came to support me and found me devouring lunch, which was kindly offered to me at the clinic, kept asking me to sit down. But I didn’t agree. And after about an hour more, he did not return to the operating room, but paced.

After some time, I was again called to the operating room, where Dr. Buyanov, already with his assistants, completed the procedure to the end and applied a temporary bandage. He also gave a list of recommendations on what NOT to do during recovery. His most important advice is to protect your head from any blows and injuries. It turned out to be sooooo difficult to do it:))

Now the third month of my hair transplant is coming to an end, but I haven’t felt the result yet. The doctor warned that it would be possible to evaluate the effect only after a year, so I believe in the good and hope to see in the near future how my aristocratic bald patches will grow with new hair!

trichologist's comment:

We met with Alexander at about nine o'clock in the morning. Before proceeding with the hair transplant, we discussed the entire course of the manipulation over a cup of coffee, agreed on the main points, and only after that we went to the operating room.

A joint decision was made to use the modern MFT hair follicle transplant technique. It is an innovative alternative to the classic FUE method, as it allows, due to the coordinated and fast work of the surgical team, to carry out transplantation of a large number of hairs in a short time.

We initially took into account that the entire operation would be carried out in parallel with video and photography, interviews, so the coordination and speed of the surgical team in this situation were especially significant.

The first stage of transplantation was associated with manual follicular isolation, that is, it was necessary to outline the areas of hair sampling so that it was possible to understand how many grafts would be possible to move. This stage took about three hours. To make Alexander not so tiring, we made three breaks for rest and tea. We did not have any problems with hair isolation, as our patient initially had very good hair characteristics.

Then we took a longer lunch break, after which we returned to the operating room and continued the operation with the full complement of the surgical team.

Since the main advantage of the MFT method is the high result of the procedure, to achieve the desired effect, quick and coordinated work of the entire team is required. Using special optics and individual illumination of each zone, a team of specialists of several people carefully performed the subsequent task of transferring the follicles to the acceptor zone.

At this stage, an important role is played by the fact that the hair follicles move according to the principle "from skin to skin", without staying for a long time in an artificial environment. Moreover, each doctor in the team was "responsible" exclusively for his area: the back of the head, left edge, right edge.

Thus, we completed the second stage of the transplant and the entire procedure by about nine o'clock in the evening. In total, about 2500 grafts were transplanted to Alexander. At the end of the procedure, a bandage was applied to him.

As you can imagine, in Alexander's case, the hair transplant protocol was drawn up taking into account filming and interviews, so in total the operation took a little longer than usual.

It remains to add that, due to natural characteristics, Alexander is the owner of hair that is quite good in terms of its characteristics. Therefore, I predict that a very good result will be achieved. But we will be able to see it only after 10-12 months - this is the duration of the recovery period.

dermatovenerologist-trichologist comment:

Alexander's main complaints were related to itching and peeling of the scalp, and he also had some inconvenience that the hair in the parietal zone became thin and thinned out.

In all the cases described, Alexander did not turn to specialists, but tried to solve the problem on his own. For example, to eliminate flaking and itching, he used special pharmaceutical products. But at the same time, he notes that due to stress, prolonged loads, problems returned again.

As part of the first consultation, we performed trichoscopy for Alexandra. This is a special micro-video diagnostic method that allows you to assess the condition of the hair and scalp. As a result of such a study, it was revealed that Alexander is progressing seborrheic dermatitis, as well as pronounced male-type hair loss (androgenic alopecia).

Based on the findings, we prepared a detailed treatment plan, which included MFT hair transplant and seborrheic dermatitis treatment. Since transplantation can be carried out only if the scalp is healthy, at the first stage we treated seborrheic dermatitis using a peeling procedure and special care products, and then we performed a hair transplant.

At the end of all the manipulations, Alexander received detailed recommendations for hair and scalp care.

psychologist's comment:

If we consider aesthetic procedures, then men and women have a completely different attitude towards them. The fairer sex is ready to endure any hardships in order to get the result they need. Men, on the contrary, see the worst thing in the fact that they have to wait, that the procedure is boring, uncomfortable and all that sort of thing.

For many men, it is really very difficult to come to terms with the passive role. They absolutely need to act. Alexander in this sense fully fits into this format of behavior.

Well, the worst thing for our hero is behind him, he successfully “survived” hair transplantation, so now with a light heart he can expect his hair to become thicker and more beautiful!
