Christmas decorations made of felt

New Year's felt toys are not only beautiful and bright, but also add coziness, so you should definitely try to make such decorations with your own hands for the New Year 2021 using patterns and threads.

For a master class, it is better to take a soft felt, it is easy to work with it.

Avocado in a santa hat

We take felt of three shades of green and cut out the necessary parts for the future toy according to the template

• We also cut out details from red, brown, white and pink felt using templates.
• Sew a brown piece in the center to the light green part.
• We apply the resulting avocado core to the salad-colored part and also sew along the contour with threads.

• And once again we apply a dark green color to the larger part, sew it on.
• Sew the remaining dark green fragments together, leaving room for stuffing. So the toy will not look flat, but it will turn out to be voluminous.
• Now we connect the two blanks together, sew, fill with any filler and sew up the hole.

• After that, we sew white details to the details of the red cap so that it looks more like a New Year's cap.
• Then we sew the two halves of the cap together, leaving a gap where the cap will be put on the head.
• We fill the hat with any filler and sew along the contour to the avocado.

• We make a small pompom from white acrylic threads for knitting, sew to the hat.
• We embroider the face and eyes with black threads, glue small cheeks from pink felt.

The final touch is white highlights on the eyes. We put them with acrylic paint, and sew on a golden loop, for which it will be possible to hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

Deer

For the toy, according to the patterns, we cut out details from three shades of brown, and also from black and white felt

• Sew a black nose to the part of the face along the contour, and also embroider a line in the middle of the white part with black threads. It will divide the muzzle into two halves.
• Then we sew two more details for the face - the base and the forehead.
• We sew a previously prepared face with a spout to the base.
• Now we sew together all the paired parts: ears, paws and horns.
• Bend the ears in the lower part a little and sew to the part of the head from the wrong side.
• Sew the horns into place.

• Now we sew together the two main parts of the head, leaving room for the stuffing.
• Sew a belly to one part of the body, and then sew two main parts together. We fill with holofiber or any other filler.
• Sew the head to the body with a blind stitch, and then sew on the legs.

The finishing touches are a white scarf, gold cord, beady eyes and pink felt cheeks

Cone

1. From a piece of white and light brown felt, cut a strip 1, 5 cm wide, folding the material together.
2. Cut out semicircles from the stripes. We cut out several of such patterned stripes as in the photo.
3. We make the base for the toy from foil: we just form a lump that looks like an egg.
4. We put two felt pieces together so that one looks out from under the other a little.
5. We twist the strip and glue it to the very top of the foil base.
6. In the same way, we continue to twist and glue the felt parts until we reach the very bottom of the base.
7. In the middle we glue a small loop with a gold cord, and then glue the empty space around.

Christmas bells made of felt

From felt for the New Year 2021, you can make very beautiful bells with your own hands and decorate them with roses from satin ribbons. The New Year's toy turns out to be very bright and original. For the master class, you will need a satin ribbon and felt of two colors with patterns.

Master Class:

Transfer the pattern to dark red felt and cut it out. You will need 5 parts for one bell

We select threads according to the color of the felt and sew all the details together with small stitches

• Cut out leaves for the future flower from felt of a different color.
• For the flower itself, we take a satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide, bend the corner, fix it with glue.

• After the corner we wrap with tape twice, again we apply a little glue.
• Each time we bend the bottom edge of the tape, make two turns, fix it with glue.

After unfold the bud, bend the edge of the tape again, apply glue

We repeat the movements one or two more times, cut off the excess tape and glue it to the bottom of the bud

We glue three roses to the bell, and felt petals around the buds. Do not forget to sew or glue the loop.

Felt mittens

You can make New Year's bells or very cute mittens from felt. Such a toy will be an excellent decoration for a New Year tree. The proposed master class with patterns is just as simple, everything can be done with your own hands for the New Year 2021.

Master Class:

Transfer the pattern to soft felt, fold the material twice, fix it with pins and cut it out

• Sew the mitten with a silver thread folded three times.
• We fill the mitten with any filler, for example, holofiber.
• From another softer and fluffy fabric, cut a strip 2 cm wide. This will be the lapel of the mitten.
• We glue the strip to the main part, and along the contour - silver braid.

Cut out a leaf from the fluffy fabric and sew bugles to it

• Cut out two circles of different diameters from felt.
• We make several stitches along the contour with threads, put the filler. We tighten the material, sew up the hole completely. These will be berries.
• We decorate the middle of the berries with silver sparkles using glue.

• We glue a leaf, berries and a bow tied with a silver cord to the mitten.
• Now we make another such mitten (right or left), we tie them together with a silver loop.

Felt and fleece poinsettia

Poinsettia is not just a flower, but a real symbol of Christmas. Of course, such a beautiful flower is easy to buy at any flower shop, but you can make it yourself from felt and fleece.

Master Class:

1. Fold the fleece in half, apply any round blank, circle it.
2. We cut off the excess fabric, fix it with pins, sew it with red threads or sew it on a typewriter, leave room for stuffing.
3. We retreat from the seam 3-5 mm, cut off.
4. We fill the workpiece with a holofiber through the hole and distribute it evenly.
5. Now we take a rope for hanging, for better fixation we tie a knot, put it inside the workpiece and sew it on a typewriter.
6. According to the patterns, we cut out all the details for the flower from red felt and green glitter foamiran.
7. We bend the tips of each petal of the future flower and glue it together.

Now we glue the leaves to the base, and then in a circle - 5 large petals. Glue smaller petals between the large ones. We decorate the middle of the flower with beads or artificial berries.

New Year gnomes

From felt with your own hands, you can make not only Christmas tree decorations, but also other toys, for example, a gnome. Such a fairy-tale character in the Scandinavian countries is a real New Year's symbol. We offer a detailed master class with photos and patterns.

Material:

• felt;
• plush fabric;
• New Year's socks;
• fluffy knitting threads;
• holofiber;
• wooden balls.

Master Class:

We cut out all the necessary details from red felt, plush fabric and New Year's socks (you can take any other material) according to the patterns

• Now we put every detail of the cap, golf, and boots together and sew.
• We take one part of the body, place the knee-highs on it with the wrong side at the top. We fix it with threads at the edge.

• We take the second part of the body and sew with a loop seam with the lower part.
• Then we connect it with the second part of the body, stitch it and leave a small hole for stuffing.
• We turn out the part of the body with golfs, fill it with holofiber and sew a hole with a blind seam.
• Sew boots to golfs.

We take a piece of cardboard and wind fluffy knitting threads around it

• Then we cut off on one side and tie on the other.
• We collect the gnome. We put a hat on it, glue a wooden nose and a beard made of fluffy threads.

New Year felt boot

A Christmas boot or stocking is the most common festive gift accessory. And such a decoration can also be made from felt with your own hands.

Materials:

• red felt (hard);
• white (soft);
• pink (soft);
• black (soft);
• green;
• rep tape;
• half beads 8 mm;
• pompom 1, 5-2 cm.
• white fleece;
• decor.

Master Class:

Using patterns from hard red felt, cut out 2 parts for a boot and a cap

• We sew the details for the cap, leave the upper part untouched.
• We sew the top of one part of the boot.

• We sew the top of the second part of the boot together with the cap and immediately sew a loop from a rep ribbon with a width of 0.6 cm and a length of 18-20 cm.
• We sew two details of the boot together.
• From white soft felt, according to the patterns, cut out 1 part for the beard and 2 parts for the eyebrows.

• We sew all the details in a circle. It is better to start at the top to make it easier to hide the knots.
• From pink felt we randomly cut out a part for the head and, together with the beard, glue it to the boot.
• We also cut the nose out of pink felt, we pass it in a circle with a thread, fill it with a padding polyester and also pull it together with a thread.

• Cut out eyes from black felt and glue them together with half-beads.
• Now we glue the nose itself.
• Cut out the edge for the boot from white fleece or soft white felt.

• Sew the edges of the edge, make a 1 cm bend on each side and glue.
• We put the edge on the boot under the cap, fix it with glue.
• Now we glue the eyebrows and pompoms on the cap.

The New Year's boot is almost ready, it remains to add a little decor. Cut out three leaves from green felt and glue them to the cap together with the half-beads. We decorate the boot with snowflakes.

Santa Claus made of felt

You can make Santa Claus out of felt. There are different options for how to sew such a New Year's toy, we offer the simplest master class.

Materials:

• felt;
• white fur;
• rep tape;
• decorative eyes;
• white outline on the fabric;
• felt bead.

Master Class:

1. According to the patterns, we cut out details from red and beige felt and from white fur, which can be replaced with white soft felt.
2. Fold the tape in half, put it between the two parts for the body. We sew by hand or on a sewing machine.
3. We turn out the workpiece and fill it with any filler.
4. Sew on the bottom with an overcast seam.
5. We glue the face detail to the workpiece.
6. Now we take a strip of fur, tuck and glue the edges.
7. We sew a square of fur in a circle, then we tighten the thread, we wrap the corners inward.
8. Insert the edges of the tape and sew on the bell.
9. We sew the beard around the edges with an oblique inlay so that the material does not crumble, and then glue it.
10. We glue the fur on the hat, we must turn the edges, otherwise the material will crumble.
11. The final touches - we glue the toy eyes, mustache, felt pompom in place of the nose and draw cilia with a white outline on the fabric.
