It is not worth pulling out boletus by the root, it is better to carefully cut off the leg at the very roots, and leave them in the ground. Place the cut mushrooms upside down or on their side to keep them fresh longer.

Be sure to take a basket or a hard bucket with you - you should not pick mushrooms in a backpack or soft bag, as this will rub them together and crumble. Immediately after the "hunt", the boletus should be washed and cleaned of dirt, and then start cooking. You cannot store them for a long time.

Adult boletus in caps reaches 4-10 cm. However, experienced mushroom pickers advise to collect young mushrooms, the caps of which are no more than 2-4 cm, since they are tastier.
