The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Vienna the day before. Now representatives of 27 countries will have to fight for the victory in the last round. And judging by the list of finalists, the final show promises to be quite interesting.

As you know, the host country of the competition - Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France and Italy - traditionally reaches the final without selection.

On the eve, representatives of 17 countries took part in the second semifinal, however, most of the audience votes were received by contestants from Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway, Montenegro, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Latvia and Israel. As expected, the audience was delighted with the 28-year-old Mons Zelmerlev from Sweden with the song Heroes. Secular observers call his performance the brightest show of the second semi-final.

On the eve, the press secretary of Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian president was reported on the success of the Russian participant of the Eurovision Song Contest, Polina Gagarina. "News about Russia's participation in Eurovision is naturally reported to the president along with the information picture of the day as a whole, but, of course, the president does not follow the details."

“It was a great night! I am happy and I can breathe out with relief! - said Zelmerlev at a press conference at the end of the semifinals. - There were a lot of good songs in the semifinals. Today I had some roughness in the room, I could have done some better things, but I will definitely fix it by the end. Hopefully I'll be the winner on Saturday!"

By the way, according to the bookmakers, the guy has the greatest chances of winning. Russian singer Polina Gagarina is predicted second place. Next come performers from Italy (opera trio Il Volo), Australia and Estonia.
