Woody Allen has stated that he is a "big supporter" of the #MeToo movement. He also stressed that he must be the face of the movement, because he has worked with hundreds of actresses over the past 50 years and none of them has ever stated anything obscene.

“It's funny. I have to be on their posters, because I have worked with hundreds of actresses in 50 years in the industry and never any of them, including famous ones, have accused me of something indecent,”said the director.

He also stated that he fully supports bringing those who have been seen for abhorrent behavior to justice. “If an innocent person is accused on this wave, it will be very sad,” Woody said. "For the rest, it is necessary to reveal the truth."

It should be recalled that in 2014, Dylan Farrow, Allen's daughter, again accused him of molesting her in 1992 when she was only seven years old. The director himself denies all charges. The investigation against him also led nowhere. And yet, after that, many actors turned their backs on Allen, which raised questions about his future as a director in modern Hollywood, who is very sensitive to anything concerning lewd behavior.

Earlier this year, Mira Sorvino publicly apologized to Farrow for being "blind" to her accusations against Allen. She also vowed never to work with him again.
