Philip Bogachev: about respect
Philip Bogachev: about respect

Sometimes they ask me: "What is a respected person for you?" And sometimes they ask questions like: "How to become a respected person?" This is actually one question. Exactly one. But fundamental.

The question of the very concept of respect.

A person who respects himself is respected by others. Everyone who is not lazy has a person who does not respect himself. Just? Not anymore. Let's continue.

How to get the respect? Begin to respect yourself. How to start respecting yourself? Here, everything is not easy at all. It is enough to understand one principle: respect for SOMETHING. I remember driving in the same car with my student and two girls to a disco. Well, we talked as usual. The girls were “with pretensions”, they tried to speak “by concepts”. And I don't understand this - I say what I think. What I think. As I want. And at some point, one girl makes a decisive argument:

- You me that, not respect?

“No,” I said.

And then I calmly listened to a lot of obscenities in the style: "Well, I'm a girl, you have to respect me."

- My respect you have to earn it first,”I said. - I don't respect anyone just like that, because there are boobs and a vagina. I am not respected for having a member. I am respected for the fact that I am me.

No one will respect a person simply for the fact that such a person exists. Once again: they do not respect a person, they respect his achievements.

By the way, I really love the Ukrainian language. For the fundamental differences between Man and Woman. There they also write - "cholovik" and "zhinka". I mean, one is not the other. But let's leave linguistics to those who understand it, and let's talk about why women can be respected.

Let's start from afar. From kindergartens, where are the teachers and nannies? That's right, people with a difficult fate and an unhappy life. And how do they bring up children? Right. So that it was not like mine. It's the same in schools. The vast majority of teachers are women. I have met an extremely small number of teachers (and I have seen many of them - I have changed 16 schools in my school life) who work because they like to teach and they love students. The overwhelming majority of the last twenty years have been reporting the same program and are waiting for a pension.

And now a universal conspiracy of women-losers looms. Who all their lives consider guys to be idiots, and girls as future "pryncess". And in order to protect some from others, they drive in a bunch of attitudes like “women must be respected”, “you can't beat girls” and the like.

I will not talk about the mechanisms of embedding beliefs, few people here will understand this. I will simply say that the brain is thoroughly washed in 12-14 years of study. And adult women, who have long grown out of woolen tights, for some reason continue to carry this garbage in themselves further, spreading it to everyone around them.

And few people think: what have you done to be respected? Personally, I approach any person from scratch. That is, I give the opportunity to do something, and then I decide whether I like it or not, I respect it or not. Respect - an individual thing.

So, what do you think, is it worth respecting a person for the fact that he considers himself the crown of creation? This gives not a reason to respect, but a reason to neigh. Is it worth respecting a woman for this? No.

It is worth being respected for achievements. For what is called self-made in English. I know women like that. I respect, I am proud of my friendship with them. But is it worth respecting a woman for the fact that she lives on her husband's money and believes that this is right? Or for the fact that she works in an ordinary job with a salary worth one evening dress?

In the finale, I can only say: who, if not a man, can evaluate a woman's mind or stupidity from the side?
