The famous actor Robert De Niro and rapper 50 Cent will play in the police thriller "New Orleans".

In the story, the hero's partner De Niro disappears during Hurricane Katrina, and the police department comes to the conclusion that he was a victim of the elements. However, it is later revealed that he was shot. The hero De Niro and his new partner (50 Cent) begin their own investigation, which will open for them the world of police corruption previously unknown to them. Filming will begin in New Orleans in February 2007. And in December there will be a premiere of The Good Shepherd, directed by Robert De Niro, who also plays one of the main roles. In addition to him, Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon are involved in the film.

We will remind that last week Robert De Niro became a citizen of Italy. The Italian passport was presented to the famous actor by the mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni. According to the latter, it was a great honor for Italy to become a second homeland for Robert De Niro, and if there was a separate Roman passport, the actor would receive it. "The circle has closed, the fate of my family is determined. Now I can confidently say that I have returned home. I am happy for my children, who will be Italians, like me," De Niro himself said at the ceremony.

As for Fifty, he was named Best Songwriter of 2006 by the American Society of Composers, Lyrics and Music Publishers (ASCAP). As noted in a press release from the ceremony jury, 50 Cent (real name - Curtis Jackson) created five ASCAP-winning hits in a year - "Candy Shop", "Disco Inferno", "Hate It Or Love it", "How We Do "and" Just A Lil Bit ".
