Modern cosmetology gives women a lot of opportunities to prolong their youth and beauty. However, fighting for smooth skin and a slender figure, many of the fair sex are so addicted that they do not pay attention to the methods by which they are trying to achieve the desired result. Specialists from cosmetology and medical institutions now offer a lot of useful and effective procedures to rejuvenate our women. But often expensive sessions are not at the highest level. One of the most fashionable today - a complex of spa procedures - is considered the most harmless and effective method of improving the body and body shaping. Is it really so?

What do we know about spa treatments today? This is a complex of cosmetic procedures that were developed in the USA. These include hydromassage, mud wraps, infrared sauna, vibratory massage, aromatherapy, Vichy shower and steam sauna. Not only are these procedures very pleasant and relaxing, they also help to fight overweight and cellulite, improve the functioning of the cardiovascular, nervous, and vegetative systems, and remove toxins and toxins from the body.

Everything seems to be fine. A pleasant procedure, a good result … But, unfortunately, everything has both pluses and minuses. SPA treatments are supposed to cleanse the body, but most of the products used for these treatments contain toxic components that pollute the body and harm the skin. Of course, no one will tell the truth to a client who comes to the procedure and is ready to pay a considerable amount of money for it, what substances will rejuvenate his body. For beauticians and their clients, the truth is that spa treatments use thermal and sea water, mineral salts, therapeutic mud, algae and other healing substances. That's how it is. Only not everyone knows about the true substances that can be contained in the miraculous "gifts of nature." Therefore, not quite high-quality products are also used. Why is this happening? The problem is ecology. Sea water and algae, which are used in spa procedures, now contain not only minerals, enzymes and other useful substances, but also elements of what they polluted the reservoir from which this water was taken. These are mainly industrial effluents that are discharged into the seas and bays by large enterprises.

However, it does not always happen that the water that gets on the human body in the spa salon would certainly contain some kind of toxins. And in general, it is clear that no one will carry sea water in containers to every Russian spa. The situation is as follows. If the water is really sea water, then it can simply be cleaned of toxins, and with them from algae, salts and minerals. It is clear that there will not be much benefit from such water. The method used most often looks different. Ordinary water is artificially saturated with salts and minerals. It turns out almost real sea water. And there is also an effect from it, though not as productive as from the real one.

Nobody denies the benefits of the spa, but you should also remember about the harm that these procedures can cause. Most of all, people with sensitive skin are at risk of getting a negative effect on the skin during spa procedures. If, when saturating water with salts and minerals, you overdo it with concentration, instead of smooth, delicate skin, you can get a completely different result. Salt water will pinch and dry your skin, and if hair is also exposed to it, it will become brittle. Anyway, any person, not only with sensitive skin, can suffer if he gets to the spa center, where the procedures are poorly prepared.

How do you know what kind of water is being used in a particular facility? It is clear that no one honestly admits that the sea water used in spa procedures is in fact “artificial”, has the “wrong” concentration of the required elements, or contains toxins. And to raise the red tape with documents certifying the authenticity of a particular product, or to look at the seal on a license that gives the right to this type of activity, for the sake of one procedure, no one needs. As a matter of fact, there is only one way out. Do not do this procedure too often.

When treating spa pools, substances such as chloramines appear. They are formed when chlorine combines with nitrogen when chlorinated water comes into contact with the human body. In general, chloramines are disinfectants, but they have an unpleasant odor and can irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes. If there is not enough free chlorine in the pool, the smell of chloramines will immediately inform you of this. However, if you do not "smell" it in time, the consequences can be very unpleasant.

It should also be remembered that some spa sessions should not be performed with someone who has scratches, abrasions or rashes on their skin. In addition, the procedures are contraindicated for pregnant women. It should be remembered that a SPA course consists of several procedures. And for each there are a number of specific contraindications. They should be clarified before starting the sessions. In addition, it is still recommended to undergo a medical examination before using spa treatments.

Finally, we note that, according to doctors, the most effective SPA procedures are done where the means for their implementation are offered by nature itself. No spa can replace a real seaside resort.
