The habitual institution of the family is under threat. This is not the first year that psychologists and sociologists have been repeating this. The divorce rate is quite high, especially among young families. What to do? The Moscow City Duma is trying to solve this problem, and a method has already been proposed, which, as officials hope, should be quite effective.

Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Social Policy and Labor Relations Tatyana Batysheva invites married couples who have lived together for more than 10 years to take young families under the patronage.

“When the family is just being organized, there is literally some problem, something is wrong, the family is no longer there, it collapsed. That is why we have come up with such an interesting initiative so that successful, good, long-lived families would meet with young families, exchange experiences, be friends,”the Moskva agency quotes Batysheva.

As specified, the idea is planned to be implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Moscow City Duma and the capital branch of the National Parent Association for Social Support of the Family and Protection of Family Values (NRA).

Batysheva also said that the possibility of creating a tribal society is being discussed. “In the Primorsky Territory, in which very few people live, they have a society of genders, those people who study the ancestry of their family. Practically the guys, studying the pedigree of their family, study the history of their homeland. And so we want to bring this very beautiful, noble initiative to the life of our big city. We will study the experience of our colleagues and apply it in Moscow,”she said.
