Dmitry Shepelev responded to criticism

Showman Dmitry Shepelev prefers not to dwell on personal matters. But recently he made an exception. Dmitry visited Andrei Malakhov at the show "Let them talk" and talked about how he fought for the life of Zhanna Friske, and about his book dedicated to his beloved. The transfer with Shepelev, as one would expect, became the reason for a lively discussion. Critical remarks fell on Dmitry. And now the showman saw fit to answer the haters.

Shepelev's interview with Malakhov made an ambiguous impression. Many spectators accused Dmitry of falsehood and unconvincing public play. Shepelev, on the other hand, explained in a special column of the Grazia publication that it was not easy for him to talk about the past.

“I was struggling to hold back tears. I still find it hard to talk about what happened. But I could not afford to cry - in my opinion, that would be a weakness. So I tried to hold on. I have no reason to play, to pretend feelings. I was so excited that I could barely finish the interview, let alone put on an hour-long performance. I’m not an artist and I don’t know how to do it. It was about things that are important to me."

Dmitry also explained his commentary on the Friske family. The showman assures that Jeanne's parents are not really eager to meet little Plato.

“I confirm my words. Neither grandmother nor grandfather wants to meet their grandson. Let's be clear: what do you think “meet” means? Take the child to the garden, go for a walk with him, invite him to the cinema - do you agree? The conditions that Jeanne's family puts forward to me - and these are the conditions discussed in court, and not requests - are fundamentally different. Grandparents demand that my son go to them and live there. I did not spend time in the kindergarten to which I was used to, not on the playground with my friends, after all, not with my father, but there. Only there. Only with them. For weeks. I went there for all the holidays. He went abroad for months. I spent my birthday with them. And - the main requirement - without a father. Birthday without a father - what do you say? In my opinion, this is not a desire to see his grandson, but a desire to take and remove from his father a boy who was left without a mother. It's impossible.
