Streets, ships, a variety of gladioli and an asteroid are named after him. And today he remains in second place in the list of "idols of the XX century" for Russians, second only to Yuri Gagarin. Today Vladimir Semenovich Vysotsky would have turned 78 years old, and it would be a crime not to remember the artist's songs.

He played dozens of roles in cinema and theater, wrote hundreds of wonderful songs. He was not limited to one genre and delighted numerous fans with either a caustic satire or an incredibly romantic ballad. And we propose to listen to the "Ballad of Love" again today.

The ballad of love was written by Vysotsky for Tarasov's film "The Arrows of Robin Hood". However, in the USSR State Committee for Cinematography, such a musical accompaniment to the picture was considered inappropriate. Seven years later, viewers heard the composition in Tarasov's film "The Ballad of the Valiant Knight Ivanhoe".

It is believed that Vladimir Semenovich knew perfectly well what love is, and dedicated dozens of poems to this feeling. And Vysotsky dedicated his last poem to his beloved woman Marina Vlady. The poet wrote: "… I have something to sing, having presented myself before the Almighty, I have something to justify myself before Him …"
