It looks like one of the most anticipated films of the next year is already known. For several months now, tabloids have been discussing a biopic about Princess Diana, which is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel. The filming of the tape has already begun, and the creators have finally decided on the name of the picture.

The project started under the code name Caught in Flight. But now the producers have decided to name the picture briefly and clearly: "Diana".

The leading role is played by the famous Hollywood blonde of Australian origin Naomi Watts (Naomi Watts). The other day there was the first official photo of the star in the image of Lady Dee.

The film will focus primarily on the love affair between Diana and the surgeon Hasnat Kan, as well as on the princess's humanitarian work. Even before the start of filming, which started a few months ago, Watts admitted that it was a great honor for her to play such a role, and with special diligence took up the work.

“Diana is part of our story,” Watts said in an interview. - An incredible, amazing woman. And her life ended so tragically. At first I wanted to give up the role because I was scared. But then I realized that such a chance comes very rarely."

Naomi tried to achieve not only external resemblance to Diana, but also to understand her inner world. For this, the actress visited the places where the princess especially loved to be, and meticulously studied her biography. Naveen Andrews, who plays the role of Dr. Hasnat in the film, said that Watts is just perfect for the role of Diana. “I don’t think anyone else can play Princess Diana like that,” said the actor.

Oliver Hirschbiegel, in turn, emphasized that Watts turned out to be a wonderful actress who so truthfully embodied the “warmth, humanity and compassion” of such a person as Princess Diana.
