Jennifer Lawrence turned 28 today. And the fans wondered how the star spent this day. As it became known, the holiday passed as a romantic date with her new boyfriend, Cooke Maroney, with whom she began dating in May.

The couple was spotted together in Paris. A source told PEOPLE that the couple looks incredibly happy, holding hands all the time while enjoying their time in the French capital. The couple are said to be staying at the Ritz, for the most part they are just walking around the city where they arrived last week.

Sources close to the actress confirm that she is dating Maroni, who is the director of an art gallery in New York. The couple met through mutual friends. Lawrence and Maroni are not shy about appearing in public together. In June, they were photographed in New York City during a romantic candlelit dinner. Then the Oscar winner could not hide her joy, before the dinner ended, she and Maroni were seen kissing.

A source told PEOPLE that the couple is good together. "She smiles like she never smiles with any of her ex-boyfriends before," the source said, adding that there is undoubtedly a "special chemistry" between Lawrence and Maroney and that they "never get tired of holding hands and laughing" when spend time together.

Prior to dating Maroni, Lawrence had a relationship with director Darren Aronofsky, whom she dated for over a year before breaking up in November 2017. They met again last year when Jennifer presented him with the award at the BAM Gala and she called him her "very good friend."
