Which pets are likely to exhibit criminal tendencies? Traditionally, it is believed that the urge to steal everything that "lies badly" is observed in magpies and rats. Recently, however, cases of kleptomania have also become known in felines. A particularly impressive case took place a few days ago in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky.

A 46-year-old woman contacted the duty unit of the Department of Internal Affairs for the Krasnogorsk district of the city with a message about the loss of jewelry. The lady, who estimated the damage at 90 thousand rubles, suggested that someone had robbed her, but the law enforcement officers who arrived at the place of the call did not find traces of a break-in.

Then it was suggested that the jewelry was stolen by one of the woman's relatives, who had an additional set of keys to the apartment.

But in the end it turned out that the cat was to blame for the missing jewelry. The owner noticed how her pet was carrying a gold ring in her teeth, and followed the cat.

It turned out that the animal also hid all the other decorations of its owner in different places in the apartment. When the "crime" was solved, the woman called the police and said that the jewelry had been found, writes Lenta.ru.

Earlier, American tabloids reported about a kleptomaniac cat that lives in Redwood City, California. An animal named Dusty methodically steals other people's things at night. The cat's personal best is 11 items in one night. In total, in three years, he stole more than 600 things from his owners' neighbors, including socks, underwear, toys, dishwashing sponges, towels, gloves and much more. The owners return most of the things stolen by the cat to their rightful owners, but some of the items remain with them, since no one comes to pick them up.
