Italian designer Roberto Cavalli is known all over the world for his bright and sexy outfits. And oddly enough, but most of the fans of the master's creations are fashionistas from the United States and Russia, and not his native Italy. It is even more interesting that Cavalli himself does not like American women. At least, the other day, the fashion designer spoke quite sharply about fashionistas from the United States.

Signor Roberto has recently taken a great interest in criticism. So, last year he made a very caustic remark about Anna Wintour and called American fashion "almost fashion." “This American fashion is terrible,” Cavalli said. “And you can see it right away, but there is a wonderful journalist in the USA, Anna Wintour, who wants all women to look like her and dress the same way.”

Earlier, Cavalli advised the Duchess of Cambridge to thoroughly revise her wardrobe. “In the end, just because you’re a queen or a princess doesn’t mean you can’t be sexy,” said the designer.

In a new interview with Style.com, the designer spoke again about American style. “In New York, everyone wants to look slim. And they put on black. Black is the color of fitness fanatics. But black is negative and no positive. It's so American, - says the maestro. - And the local fashionistas blindly trust designers like Michael Kors. But he just copies fashion designers from all over the world. And I want to tell him to stop copying me. Enough!"

In addition, Cavalli said that American women, in his opinion, could be more open to new ideas. But since they are not of the same quality, in the end "everyone wears the same thing."
