On November 22-26, 2001, the VIII International Exhibition of Perfumery and Cosmetics "Intersharm-2001" will take place in the Sokolniki Exhibition Complex in Moscow.

The exhibition of perfumery and cosmetics "Intersharm" has been held in Moscow since 1994, and was the first specialized exhibition of this subject in Russia.

Since 1996, it has been held with the support and assistance of the Russian Perfume and Cosmetic Association. Every year, on the eve of the Intercharm exhibition, an international scientific and practical conference is held, which brings together managers, leading specialists, technologists-developers of perfumery and cosmetic enterprises in Russia, raw materials and trading companies. In addition, foreign speakers and listeners take part in the scientific-practical conference, the conference is traditionally attended by representatives of the European Association of perfumery, cosmetics and hygiene products - Colipa. Colipa's General Secretary, Robert Vanhove, annually attends the Intercharm conference and exhibition, consistently appreciating the level of organization of the event and its importance for the development of the Russian perfumery and cosmetics industry.

Every year the exhibition exposition "Intersharma" becomes more and more representative, the international participation is expanding, the number of visitors is growing rapidly.

Since 1997 "Intersharm" has been the largest perfumery and cosmetics exhibition in Eastern Europe. The leading positions of the "Intersharm" exhibition are confirmed not only by statistical data, but also by the level of events taking place during the exhibition: Championship of Russia in make-up; YOU Professional Show; Intersharm-2001 Exhibition Medals award ceremony and others.

Today the international exhibition "Intersharm" is the most significant professional event. In 2001, 550 exhibiting companies from 19 countries will present their products and services at the exhibition. The exposition of the exhibition "Intersharm - 2001" is located in 8 pavilions, the exposition area is 9,005 sq.m.
