Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves has always had a passion for Japanese culture. And the inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun reciprocate. Keanu is presenting his new film "47 Ronin," directed by Carl Rinsch in Tokyo today, and the local audience is close to euphoria.

At the press conference, Keanu appeared in an elegant dark gray suit and, according to secular observers, looked great. In accordance with Japanese tradition, he bowed to those present in greeting and spoke with pleasure to the press.

As noted, in Japan, the actor is considered one of the most adored celebrities in Hollywood. In the film "47 Ronin" he found himself in the company of Japanese actors and played a half-blood warrior, in whose veins Japanese and British blood flows.

By the way, in Keanu there really is a little "East". His father was half Hawaiian, half Chinese. But the actor tries not to remember the parent and categorically does not communicate with him. The fact is that the man left his family when the future star was barely three years old.

In the center of the plot of the film, based on Japanese folk tradition, the story of 47 samurai, who, having lost their master, swore an oath to avenge his death, despite the fact that they were facing a death sentence. Together with Keanu Reeves, five Japanese actors (Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi, Ko Shibasaki, and Jin Akanishi) were cast in the roles to make the story more authentic, rather than choosing actors that are recognizable in the United States. According to Keanu Reeves, especially for the sake of supporting actors, the shooting was first held in Japanese and then in English.

The US premiere is scheduled for December 25, 2013, and in Russia, for January 2, 2014.
