A few days ago, it would not have occurred to me at lunchtime, interrupting work and leaving the surprised colleagues, to go … DANCE!

But now I am starting a new life, and it is quite possible that this will become a habit for me.

The last time I attended Latin American dance classes was during my school years. I still remember the teacher's voice "cha-cha, one, two, three," but that's all.

According to Valeria, who met me at Evgeny Papunaishvili's dance school (abbreviated as SHTEP), even women over 60 begin to study with them and successfully master the most complex technique of Argentine tango.

One of the main mottos of the club is “Dance with us, and we will create all the conditions and atmosphere for this”.

The atmosphere in the school is really amazing, all the staff are glowing! There is a feeling that the administrator, the bartender, and the teacher passing by will now arrange a crazy flash mob! "Do you know what bachata is?" - asked, dancing, my teacher Dmitry Samonov.

As it turned out, bachata (Spanish Bachta) is not only a romantic pair dance, but also a musical style that tells about unhappy love and suffering.

Dmitry explained that in order to dance bachata beautifully, it is not enough to know a set of standard movements. You need to feel the music and your partner, fully open up and tune in to one emotional wave. At the first sounds, Dmitry himself literally merged with the music, directing and at the same time emitting positive energy.

Three steps to the left, three steps to the right, a turn - I would never have believed that you can learn to dance such a complex dance in 45 minutes in one lesson! However, in a pair dance, everything really depends on the partner.

At the end of the lesson, I felt that I was completely relaxed and liberated, became more free and open. Dancing really sets you in a positive mood.

But the most important surprise awaited me at the end: a whole month of group lessons as a gift with an open activation date! Looking at the class schedule, I noticed that at STEP they teach Latin American and European dances, caribbean mix, ZUMBA, Argentine tango, as well as almost all the main modern trends. Incendiary club parties are held here almost every week, and chic balls are held every season.

Many thanks to STEP and "Cleo" for the sea of positive emotions, endless joy and the beginning of my new life!

psychologist's comment: It is noticed that at the age of 35-40 our childhood dreams, deferred plans, hobbies for which there was no time, our suppressed talents, creative abilities "catch up" with us.
