As they approach the 40-year age bracket, women feel that their ability to have a baby decreases almost every second, because their fertility is decreasing. There is an instinctive reaction, expressed in increased sexual attraction, especially directed at young partners.
Earlier, British scientists found that, in general, modern women want more sex, while still convinced that men have more pleasure. According to experts, this situation has arisen due to the fact that most popular TV shows glamorize sex, without recalling possible unpleasant consequences such as unwanted pregnancy or infection with sexually transmitted diseases.
In a study conducted by experts from the University of Texas, 900 women took part, they made up three groups: girls 19-26 years old, women aged 27-45 years old and women who have reached menopause. Middle-aged women have shown themselves to be much more active in their sexual life than young girls who are at the peak of their reproductive capacity.
“These results suggest that women with declining fertility are more sexually motivated than women with normal fertility. In turn, these ladies are experiencing an increase in sexually active behavior,”says Professor David Bass.
Women who have crossed the 40-year mark, despite the "wilting", become more liberated. Therefore, according to the researchers, they are ready for more frequent contacts and get more pleasure from sex than in adolescence.
