TV shows are not always “cheap soap”. Some are worth seeing. If you are not yet addicted to any one (or are counting the days until the start of the new season of your favorite series), then try to rate something from the selection below.

1. "Grey's Anatomy" - Did you watch the series "Ambulance" with the young George Clooney on NTV once? Then you will like Anatomy too! Medicine, work scrapes and, of course, love. Instead of Clooney, here's Patrick Dempsey, whom you may remember from the male lead in Enchanted. And the main character here is a woman, so there is someone to empathize with. The series has been successfully running in the United States for six years now, and is not going to close. In Russia he can be seen on Fox Life and SET.

2. "Chorus" - the series appeared in 2009 and in two years practically tore all American television to shreds. The Choir was nominated for more than a hundred different awards and received half of them, including the Golden Globe. The series tells the story of a school choir, which initially gathered under its wing "the orphaned and the poor", and allowed them to open up and feel self-confidence. There are many songs and dances here, including great covers of songs by Katy Perry, Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, Rihanna and many more.

3. "Shoals" - a woman with two minor children suddenly loses her husband and, accordingly, the breadwinner. Left without a livelihood, our heroine seeks not only to feed her family, but also to save a house with a pool and a maid. To do this, she decides to take up the marijuana trade. Not the best solution, but meanwhile, it is very interesting to look at how drug trafficking is combined with ordinary household affairs.

4. Desperate Housewives ”Is a quiet street in Wisteria Lane of a standard American suburb. Simple housewives live on it, and each has its own problems: one is a single mother with a teenage daughter, the second is torn between her husband and a young lover, the third is raising four children at once. It looks like the most banal everyday TV series, but in fact there is enough humor here, and in some places even elements of a thriller and a detective appear.

5. "How I Met Your Mother" - a romantic sitcom **, each episode of which begins with the main character sitting his children on the sofa and begins to tell them the story of how he met their mother. This story is very long: the number of episodes has already exceeded a hundred, and by the time he met his mother, he had not yet come up. But this did not make the series any worse - each episode is full of humor, in addition, there are enough truly romantic moments.

6. "City of Predators" - Do you remember Courtney Cox, the performer of the role of Monica in the immortal TV series "Friends"? So it is she who appears before us in the title role of the new sitcom. Here she is already an adult woman with a son of draft age, an ex-husband - a loser, whom she still has to look after, and a couple of rather strange friends. Vital, fun and sometimes very cute.

7. "Borgia" - the series tells about the life of the legendary Spanish-Italian family of Borgia, from which two popes, many minor rulers and even one saint emerged. The slogan of the series speaks for itself: “Sex. Power. Murder. Amen". Add to that the lavish interiors and costumes of the late 15th century, and Oscar-winning Jeremy Irons as Pope Alexander VI.

8. "American family"- the series tells about the life of one large family, consisting of several smaller ones: the father of the family and his young and damn hot wife with a precocious son; his daughter from his first marriage with her husband and three children; the gay son is all from the same first marriage with his partner and their adopted baby. From the relationship of such different characters, it simply cannot but turn out something hilarious.

9. "Supernatural"- two brothers roam the roads of the United States and hunt for evil spirits - all sorts of vampires, werewolves and genies. Both brothers are real handsome, the plot is exciting, and the authors are doing fine with a sense of humor.

Do you have a favorite TV show?

Yes, in love with him.
There is! Even a few.
Looked different, but no favorite.
I never watch TV shows.

10. "The Big Bang Theory" - the series tells the story of the life of two young and not too adapted to life physicists and their pretty neighbor Penny. Between one of the shy young men and the waitress Penny, romantic feelings cannot but arise. Rather, all episodes are permeated with the feelings of the physicist, and Penny only sometimes reciprocates. An extraordinary love line is complemented by a large number of jokes, and these jokes are a class higher than the standard American humor. And here you can also learn a lot of curious scientific things, like the story about Schrödinger's cat.
