Fresh complexion, no wrinkles - it is possible to achieve that the face looks young, not only with the help of creams and serums, but competently applied makeup. Our expert, makeup artist ZAO Organic Make-up Natalia Kozar, told what textures and shades should be chosen for anti-aging makeup and how to apply it correctly.

Moisturizing facial skin

For an even, smooth look, moisturize your skin with a moisturizer for your face and eye area before applying foundation. It can be a lotion or cream. It is better to use products from the "cosmetics without water" series, where instead of water, organic juice of direct extraction of aloe vera leaves is used.

Additional moisture is what aging skin needs the most.

Correct application of tone

The choice of the brand of foundation is yours, but for the lightness of the texture, give preference to fluid. Dense tonal creams cover imperfections of the skin well, but at the same time penetrate into wrinkles, which further emphasizes and aggravates them. Apply the foundation with a special damp sponge or a tone brush. This application guarantees maximum naturalness, avoiding excess tone on the face. Choose the color of the foundation to match the color of your complexion or a half tone lighter.

Light-colored skin looks younger. The main thing is not to overdo it with lightening the tone of the face.

Correction of skin imperfections

What do we attribute to facial skin imperfections in makeup? These are acne, rosacea, redness or age spots.

Cover acne, rosacea and redness with a beige and green corrector, mixing them a little with the foundation. Apply with a synthetic brush. The color of the area treated with the corrector should not differ from the color of your face tone.

Pigmented spots can be softened with a lilac corrector before applying foundation.

Eye area

The skin around the eyes is thin. Use a concealer, it is much lighter in texture than a concealer. The area around the eyes in anti-aging makeup should be half a tone lighter than the tone of the face. Concealer shades: beige or salmon.

Rejuvenation Technique: Apply a light concealer or a concealer with reflective particles to wrinkles at the outer corner of the eyes, to the ends of the mouth, to the glabellar and nasolabial folds, or a liquid highlighter may also work

Light shade and reflective particles visually reduce wrinkles

Eyes

For rejuvenating eye makeup, use a loose, creamy or dry eye shadow with reflective particles.

The color palette should be soft. Beige, brown, grays and deep greens will add depth to your look. Do not use: pearlescent eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and dark shades of eyeshadow.

Eyelashes

Prefer brown and gray mascara.

Experiment with curling your eyelashes to make your eyes look brighter and more expressive.

Brows

The eyebrows should not be too dark and wide, as well as sparse and thin. Lightly paint on sparse eyebrows with a pencil or shadows. Tidy up the wide ones with tweezers. Make sure your eyebrows are medium in width but well defined.

Lips

Before painting your lips with a lipstick shade or half a tone darker, apply concealer around the lip contour and blend it. This method prevents the lipstick from penetrating into the fine lines around the lips. It is especially useful when applying bright lipstick.

The color palette in rejuvenating makeup can be wide: from natural to vibrant shades.

Use moisturizing lipsticks and light lip glosses. Avoid long-lasting matte and pearlescent lipsticks, and lipsticks that are too dark.

Blush

Creamy or oily blush is a great solution for rejuvenating makeup. Apply them with your fingertips, blending quickly.
