Tolkien's son reconstructed his father's novel

The son of the creator of the epic about the hobbits, cult writer John Ronald Ruel Tolkien, Christopher Tolkien continued his father's honorable work. He's revamping the unfinished novel, The Children of Hurin, which will be published next spring.

John Tolkien began writing this novel in 1918 when he was 26 years old. In other words, this novel has an 88-year history. The writer returned to the book throughout his life, but did not manage to finish it. Christopher Tolkien revised and edited many drafts and produced the saga of humans, elves, dwarves and dragons for print. The writer's son worked on the sequel to the story for thirty years. Hurin's story is summarized in The Silmarillion, a compilation of mythological texts written by J. Tolkien in the 1920s and 1970s and published as a separate book by his son in 1977.

Recall that in recent years, among the world's best-selling books, Tolkien's creations are in 8th place in Germany, in 6th place in Brazil, and in 1st and 2nd place in Argentina. And, of course, a huge number of admirers of the writer's talent live in the UK.
