Actress Renata Litvinova, you have another collection of clothes with Zarina. What and who are you inspired by as a designer?

Everything should always be learned from the greats. And to be inspired by them. My collection is not really retro - it's just a classic. This is the influence of Chanel, and Cardin, and some trends of the 60s, but at the same time something Russian, elegant, fabulous … I think I managed to combine all this.

How were the images of the collection born? Is this your fantasy, your preferences and your vision?

Yes, absolutely. This is all that I love. Veils, dresses, many dark colors, something practical and pretty. And in principle, I'm a fan of black. Black color is something that does not obscure your face, and then it does not "fatten", it is not easily soiled. I'm tired of this constant glamor, some things that are generally incomprehensible to whom and why they are doing.

I tried to ensure that it was always adequate, that these were good fabrics, and most importantly, that it was at an affordable price.

How much is an affordable price in your understanding?

Agree, two or three thousand rubles is an adequate price for a beautiful dress?

More than … Renata Litvinova, do you go to boutiques yourself? Do you like shopping, new outfits?

Of course. I love beautiful things.

You are often called a national style icon. Your image is flawless. How do you manage to keep it?

Don't say that, I don't even know how to live after that! (Laughs). I don’t consider myself perfect, I don’t think that you always need to be perfect. But I always try to keep my self. They ask me all the time: "Here's how to bring up a stylish girl, how to cultivate this feeling in yourself?" And it seems to me that this is all a question of education, a question of culture. An intelligent person will not wear what wild, uneducated citizens wear on themselves.

Do you think there are a lot of tastelessly dressed people around?

Unfortunately, I notice them … Often …

It's hard for me to imagine you at home, in a dressing gown … Or in jeans, for example …

I really don't wear jeans. I don't like it, it seems to me that they are crushing. I don’t understand what is comfortable about them, but everyone wears them. A lot of some kind of wildness. For example, thongs. It's wild, uncomfortable, ugly, after all. It looks like some kind of rolls! (Laughs).

- I watch my favorite films, communicate with loved ones.

- I don’t know … I don’t hide my age, I don’t think about numbers as a sentence. The numbers don't mean anything.

I don't even like to look at it. But I have a dressing gown - velvet, with silk padding. Very beautiful. I just don't like crawling at home in some pants.

You sound like a real woman.

It seems to me that there is no need to act according to stereotypes. There are no laws of what a real woman should be. In fact, a woman is a complex spiritual substance, and she was not created to be some kind of service personnel in the family, a reproductive organ, or always be beautiful, like an angel, airy, and so on.

Being a woman is not easy and not difficult, you just have to be, feel like a woman.

How do you feel about such a statement? - Baudelaire said: "A woman is naive, like an animal, she does not separate soul and body." Would you agree that there is more animal in a woman than in a man?

It is not true. I totally disagree. Perhaps it was Baudelaire who met such women. But he has the right to such delusions, he is a great poet. I believe that this is his personal delusion, private. Soul and body are not shared by very many citizens of lower structure, regardless of gender. They generally all have one solid body. And the brain is also the body.

Don't you think it's easier to be a man in our world?

It seems to me that it is generally wrong to argue about who is easier, for whom everything was created here. Thus, it is as if you are belittling yourself, as if a woman is not a person. First of all, a woman is a person, she must first develop, have some kind of material viability, be someone, and then everyone else will respect her. A woman should respect herself, if she does not respect herself, she will not make this world look at herself differently. So you need to keep your "I".

Tell me, how do you manage to stay so thin and slender? You probably don't eat anything at all?

I really eat very little. Everyone knows that gluttony is a deadly sin. It seems to me that you need to relieve your desire to fall in front of the refrigerator. Today I was in negotiations, and in my presence a person ordered the first, second, third. I think, "How can all this fit into this body?" In this case, it is better not to develop your stomach. With age, you need to eat less and less. In general, when you are dissatisfied with your body, your figure, your whole life goes wrong. I don't want to go out somewhere, dress up. Fat people, people with some kind of defect - they hide behind clothes. Or when I had periods of dissatisfaction with myself, suddenly some baggy things appeared, things of some worn out color. It is impossible to live in such a state all the time, in constant discontent - you just need to change.

Style is self-awareness, this organic thing inside, calmness and confidence.

Do you explain this to your daughter? Does she listen to your advice?

Of course. She has understanding. But, of course, all children first copy their mothers, and I even see a kind of mini-parody of herself, she chooses similar things, involuntarily copies gestures and intonations.

Actress Renata Litvinova, do you think it's hard to be your daughter?

It seems to me not. We are interested in together, I perceive many things differently than other parents. I have always perceived her as a separate person, initially … In general, I do not like talking like a mother and giving interviews about my daughter.

Then let's talk about creativity. What will we see in the near future from Renata Litvinova - director?

After the Green Theater in Zemfira, I was quiet for a while to think it over. And today I am filming my chamber project. As a director and producer. This, of course, is an independent and very low-budget project, I do not even set tasks about rental and so on, but I shoot, as for the first time, as a kind of debutant who has a minimum of funds, a lot of ambitions and maximum independence from someone's invested money. The film is called "We Had Three Friends". This is a movie about love and women, and I, Tanya Drubich and Olga Kudina play the main characters. The picture consists of good female roles. They shot a little, it's difficult to generalize so far. It's like mother-of-pearl: the whole idea changes with every shooting day. There is a script, but it is being edited for the actors, and for the budget, and for the scenery. But I am happy to announce that I have comrades-in-arms: young artists, a second director, and a composer … It is impossible to join a project alone - cinema is, after all, a collective work.

Soon a fairy tale film will be released, where you and Alexander Revva played the main roles …

I play an evil sorceress, a witch, and Revva has a small episode there, but very colorful! He played my henchman. This is a very beautiful project, and I have a wonderful role. I very rarely agree to be filmed, and it's such a pleasure. And the director, by the way, is a woman - Yekaterina Grokhovskaya. She herself came up with the scenery, some crazy costumes. This is a New Year's fairy tale, it will be released on screens on New Year's Eve. (Rorrim Bo's Magic Cup is due out in December 2010 - ed.)

Did you enjoy working for such a company?

Yes. Our director Katya is also a production designer, she made some kind of beautiful, crazy scenery for the picture. The people gathered are amazingly talented. I get an aesthetic pleasure, understanding how much attention is paid to the frame and makeup, and just everything. Sasha, by the way, showed miracles of patience on this project. He was in such a make-up that the Revva under him could not be seen, he was covered with a thick layer of scab. This makeup was applied for four hours, maybe five. At first he was joking, trying to be Revva, but it was difficult for him to break through, especially at night when the shooting was delayed. Just a human heart was beating, which was trying to survive until the end of the shift.

And now you are somehow friends, keep in touch with him?

And I am not friends with artists.

Why?

So … Somehow it does not add up. I am probably a difficult companion, not the soul of the company.

I like coming up much more, drawing design sketches, just watching movies at home, after all.

Do you have a large collection of DVD movies on your shelf?

Yes, you know, now I'm not collecting boxes, but putting disks in daddies. Otherwise, there is not enough space. In fact, I'm such a movie fan! I watch movies all the time. Even yesterday I watched one film for four hours. I couldn't tear myself away.
