The famous American photographer Spencer Tunick has once again demonstrated his talent for nudity. Today, March 1, at the Opera in Sydney, another "naked" photo session took place under the leadership of the avant-garde artist. More than 5 thousand Australians took part in it.

Tunick received an order for this installation from the organizers of the annual Sydney Mardi Gras festival for representatives of sexual minorities. Moreover, it was thanks to the latter that the notorious mass character of the event was created - at first, the organizers of the photo session expected twice as few models.

Earlier, Tunick told reporters that he invited the shocking singer Lady Gaga to participate in a naked crowd scene at the Sydney Opera House. According to Tunick, the pop star could arrive incognito and expect that no one will recognize her without outfits and makeup, but could ask for the lead role in The Base. However, it remained unknown whether the celebrity accepted the spicy offer.

Placing hundreds of naked people of different skin color, age and weight category, Tunick forced them to raise their hands, lie down and hug. “Gays and lesbians lay naked next to each other - this is a strong message to the world that Australia is voting for a free and equal society,” the artist himself believes.

The photographer even asked all those present to hug, after which he invited them to the Opera building to continue filming. Among the participants in the photo session was even a pregnant woman who was taken to the maternity ward immediately after the end of the action.

Recall that Spencer Tunick has been making sculptures and structures of hundreds and thousands of naked people since 1986. In 1992, he began photographing and filming nude models in the open air and in public places, gradually increasing the number of participants in the shooting. Since then, he has made more than 75 temporary installations, consisting of tens, hundreds and thousands of completely naked people. The artist has already carried out his massive installations in many parts of the world: Caracas, New York, Barcelona, Bruges, London, Newcastle and Lyon.
